I love this car!! Thanks for the video. It must be real easy to pick apart a car that is not completely developed yet. The last time I listened to the camaro being compared to other cars like the shelbys etc.. I only needed to ask if they compared their car to the Burger Camaro. All went quiete...followed by oh yeah.. The real Camaro people only need to wait and when they get in to their 2010 model of choice, there won't be any competition in their class.

The New Chevy Camaro Can Make A Soundgasmic Video At The Nürburgring Too
We're on fire baby!
Here's an example of a professional automotive journalist's opinion. Jalopnik -------------------------------------------------------------------------- We know you've seen the 2010 Chevy Camaro plenty of times by now, but trust us, you haven't heard it quite like this. It must be the fanboys at Camaro5's response to Lexus trying to steal the spy video thunder with the LF-A video from earlier. Because thunder is exactly what the Camaro's big 'merican V8 sounds like as it races around the famed German track. The video is over six minutes of rumbling goodness, so you might want to let it load a bit before watching. Ooh, and look, a Pontiac G8 GT was there too. [Watch the video at: Camaro5] http://jalopnik.com/382802/the-new-c...nrburgring-too

Nice video, thanks for posting.
I know that Chevy is paying very close attention to the sound. Does anyone know what kind of government limitations that they have on the exhaust note? Do they have to keep things very quiet, or do they have a little bit of flexibility? I know that most of the very deep throated cars on the road are aftermarket, but I'm wondering if this will be about what we can expect with the final version. Anyone? |

its definitely wayyyyyyy too early to be judging the camaro
its a test mule. hand built at that. when the car actually comes out, thats when you can pass your judgement but i feel the only real competition is MAYBE the challenger. but if the mid level 'maro gets the LS3, it can blow away both the R/T and SRT-8 (though i've read the SRT-8 has pretty good handling) and i dunno, this is purely an opinion, but one cannot be a ford fan AND a gm fan. its like being a communist AND a capitalist. but hey, the camaro has the potential to blow away the competition, and i'm confident that it will. so when summer 09 comes around, all the Mustang drivers better run and hide, and all the Challenger drivers better get used to being in my dust. oh and lets not even get started on tuners :-P |

the challenger srt-8 has a pretty mean snarl to it, so i'm sure the camaro will be just as loud or even louder. but on the same token, i don't think you'll beable to hear a stock camaro from 10 blocks away"
Yes, I agree that Dodge does a good job on the Charger and some of their trucks, so I'm hoping that Chevy can do something close. Thanks. |

We're getting a ton of exposure on jalopnik as the video has CAMARO5.COM across the top. Apparantly, we're all fanboys too.
I kinda resent that remark. |

You mean that little space above the DIC screen? What if you put a real subtle LED Chevy bowtie in there? Or the word "CAMARO"...
