If thats the case, you wont notice much as the volumetric effeciency of of the intak ports and valve design has been so compromised. An upper induction cleaning service can help, but wont fix it completely.

I have ~13,000 miles on my L99. Is it "too late" at this point for a catch can, or would it still be beneficial? Also, what type of cleaning would be required? I know people tout Seafoam, but I've heard not-such-nice things as well (I don't want to screw anything up).

Can installed at 2k I think what im feeling is more of torque management not giving 100% throttle when I go WOT off the line was hoping the ported tb would change this some, guess its time for a tune, but per others dyno sheets of it making 9ish hp gain its got to be working

7/10, better throttle response but not a humongous difference. Quality product though...

I read this with interest because I was considering the ported TB but adding the IM also. I have 36k and added the catch can last year at 35k.

Would ask the OP to add ported intake manifold as one of the future mod surveys. BTW these threads were an excellent idea and appreciate the time you're taking to create them.

Your running 93, correct? With a can on at 2k your valves should look great.

As for a L99/LS3, they are still port injection engines and running a good top tier fuel will keep them clean, You will have carbon buildup in the combustion chamber (piston tops, etc.) but the main downside of no can with a port injection engine is it does not burn clean and reduces the amount of energy released per combustion (less power and fuel economy).
