$4.40?

I just filled up yesterday for $3.45 per gallon with premium. Only took $50

Why not always get premium at a cheaper price....would make sense.

I don't get it how can my dad who has the same DI 3.6 V6 the Camaro has in his '12 Impala can run 87 but the Camaro has to have 93?

The V6 doesnt have to have 93, I just observed that it seems to run better in my mind on 93. Manual says 87 is fine.

Not on a V6. V6 was designed to run regular unleaded gas. Premium on the 6'er is pointless.

The camaro required 87 minimum. It runs better on 93. Just like your dads car.

Do you have some evidence that is counter to the evidence many of have seen on the dyno and street logging the timing?

This map is off a bit, we're definitely in the dark red category.

Once in awhile around here you'll find a station selling 89 and 87 for the same price, but 91 (and 93, if you can find it) is always more expensive.

I've never seen higher octane gas sell for less than 87...interesting.

Perhaps, But I observed that my car (V6) seems to run better on it. Maybe 93 i buy densest have ethanol, maybe the tank it comes from stays fuller more and water cannot condensate in the tank, etc. There is not proof that it doenst help performance, unless you have some from GM about the Camaro V6 built in 2011.
