I just can't see why Custom Sounds would...

A. Risk losing a customer (they did)
B. Risk someone getting fired

I highly doubt it was intentional. However, if the law can somehow work in your favor where they would be liable for damage done to your car while in their possesion, then take advantage of that.

I just don't see them doing this on purpose. Do this to enough customers and suddenly you have no customers left because of word of mouth.

Hey Tag,

Did the Audio Shop have any surveillance cameras on your car while it was there? Like most legit businesses nowadays, they have to have them just to keep faults claims from being laid against them for people saying " this was on my car when I brought it to ya! " etc. I know my dealership has outside cameras and when the rims on my 85 Caprice were stolen, the video was used to make the arrest.

If they do have cameras, they have to show you the tapes!

Good luck and I hope you get your money back!

I'm just assuming there wasn't any. Otherwise Tag would have already hit that up I'm sure Plus I've only read one post in the entire thread I'm a little lazy tonight.

Just a thought...

Since the car mesaures the PSI of the tires, wouldn't it be in the car's computer when the flat occured?

True! .. Isn't the tire monitoring feature supposed to indicate when a drop in pressure is registered??? My Buick Terraza lets me know when a tire is low on pressure! " LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING " light comes on.

Sucky situation...as if just getting a flat alone isn't bad enough.

This just reinforces my decision to pick up the road hazard plan from my dealer at delivery....$299 for the tires and wheels. I figured I run over something just once...and it's worth it. And I have bad luck with punctures.

Of course I would be pissed, but not at the audio place.

Everyone is saying it looks like scissors, but to me it still looks like a knife with the handle removed. And unless the other end of "whatever it is" is sharpened, there is no way you could jam that into a tire, even with a hammer. You would have to run over it. In the case of my tire with the wrench, I hit the wrench with the front tire, which must have kicked it up enough to make it jam into the rear tire.

If someone wanted to retaliate for some reason, they would just put a knife in the sidewall, it's a lot easier.
With a pair of gloves and some anger/effort it ain't that hard to sink a pointed blade of any kind in a tire.

The TPMS will for sure tell you of a tire pressure drop. Experienced it first hand, I was pulling out of work and with one block monitor told me that the tire pressure dropped to 9 lbs. I pulled over and sure enough a screw. I put the inflator and the sealer in and off to the dealership where they pulled out a 6 inch lag screw. Bummer, but it was an easy fix. $32 and an hour later i was back on the road with my ABM RS/SS.

Awesome car!

Damn San Antonio streets. I can't tell you how many tires I've replaced from just driving in these god foresaken streets in SA. Really kills me. I started getting road hazard a long time ago. You should be able to get road hazzard now that you have a new tire. EVERYONE REMEMBER TO BUY ROAD HAZZARD!!!... Sorry for all that mess Tag, hopefully nothing like this happens to you again.

Tag,
Remember when we met up at that rest stop returning from Carlisle? I had an alert that my right rear was at 31#. Checked the door and pressure should have been at 36#. There just might be a way to get that computer read. Also, wouldn't Onstar have an alert and possible time? Just a thought. I didn't know those tires cost that much!
