This is really an outrage I have had GM cars all my life which the last one was a 2005 GTO which was much MUCH faster. The car before that was a 2003 ZO6. I don’t know what to do next. I did not have time to pick up the car today. My service writer says I still have an open case number and I can call GM on Monday. She also said that several other dealers are calling in with the same problem but it does not seem like they want to do anything about it.

I am looking for feedback and ideas on what to do next.

Sell it for even money right NOW and get a stick.

Well, you said yourself you still have an open case number, so keep being a PITA to the dealer. Did they do anything to your car over those 10 days? I can't see how they would say 5.5 seconds is close enough to the advertised 4.6 for the car. Be patient, a solution can't be that far off, especially if this is a tuning issue, which seems likely.

I thought LSx engines woke up after 3,000 miles or so.

Like others have said. Give it 3-5000 miles, if it is no better, you can either dyno and go back and complain, or better still have a performance tune done.

Yes, from what I am seeing, give it between 3000-5000. Also I just change my oil today, I gained an average of .1 on my 0-60. I have 802 miles on my L99. She feels stronger every day I drive her.

What makes you think that you should be turning the same times that a driver from Gm turns? Not trying to be rude at all..but think about it.

Keep in mind 0-60 times and 1/4 times published by manufacturers assume a 1 ft rollout.

The whole car has to break-in not just the engine. Everything needs a few heat and cooling cycles. The auto tranny has lot of parts and stuff like hydraulic clutches. Those break-in too as an example.

What altitude are you at? maybe thin air ?

Something doesn't sound right.

I'd say enjoy the car and then have the pcm tuned..

Thats probably the issue if its not a high altitude scenerio.

if doesn't get better than supercharge that bad @ss camaro ...

550 flywheel hp.. even at altitude.. (SP)
I am in Florida average altitude is 1 foot above sea level.

Yes something is wrong, the dealer agrees but GM will not do anything.

Well, Track Champion in years 1983 and 1985, driving performance cars all my life I would think I could get close.
