Did the emblems yesterday, going to do the taillight bezels, wheels and hood tomorrow. With the hood Im undecided if I should do the solid stripe down the raised area of the hood or plasti dip the entire hood. Has anyone plasti dipped the whole hood with the spray cans?

Finished the wheels, taillight bezels and emblems today. Wheels took 4 cans.

Dipped my wheels today and learned a lot about application and removal. First and most important is the distance you hold the spray can. Gotta be 5 inches or LESS or you'll get "texture". This results from holding the can too far away during application. Apperantly the dip dries slightly as it is sprayed at a distance resulting in a fuzzy texture. AND, removal of textured dip is not as easy as 'just peel off'. It took forever!
If attached pics work, the "textured" wheel will be first, the finished product will follow. Jeff |
