Nope. This does NOT cover the rims. My auto insurance WILL cover the rims under comprehensive coverage should I hit a pot hole, curb, etc. Yours "SHOULD" as well...So, everything is now covered!

My buddy heads in to ask what it would cost for them to take four tire off one set of rims and throw them on the other.

I was expecting to pay $50 - $60 per tire, my buddy comes out and tells me it will not cost us anything, I thought he was jokeing. He then tells me they looked him up in their system and saw that he had purchased the road hazzard insurance on the tires for his wifes car, And that he is a regular customer for his other cars, they then told him there would be no charge. I was so impressed with their customer service that I started buying my tires there for all my vehicles. You don't find many companies out there that will take care of their customer because they recognize this customer is one of their good customers.

I also like the way they run their stores. The group in the shop trades off with the group in the showroom so everyone does everything. My car is lowered so they can not put it on the lift, they have to use jacks. It's like watching a Nascar team when they work on the car, they don't leave it to one guy to work on. They also torque the lug nuts down, not just airgun them on like other places.

They also fix flat tires for free, had three on two different vehicles fixed so far

If you use discount tire I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
This man speaks the truth!

A new road hazard warranty for a new car runs between $300 to $500. A member PM'd me today saying he got his quote today for $300.

I went by my Discount Tire company today....

I walked out with my new road hazard warranty for all 4 tires. Anything happens to them and they get replaced for FREE.

all for an incredibly low price of....

$254.50

Correct. You really can NOT beat that!!!

Yes, I am now covered....and I really hope you guys end up contacting Discount Tire as well and get yourself covered. You don't think about it happening to you until it's too late.

I worked for a tire store years ago, the road hazard is well worth it. I've seen tires with less than 1 mile on them get a nail in the sidewall, unrepairable!
Make sure you use a reputable company, preferably one that's nationwide so when your out of your area it can be repaired for free.
The price is generally 25 percent of the price of the tires.
I'm using the dealers warranty if it's through GM and or owned by a big insurance company.
Even if you plan on burning up the tires, it's going to take some time unless you turn off the traction controls all the time.
Trust me, buy the warranty!

Camaro forever!

Thanks for the advice, TAG, but I'll play the odds, which are largely in favor of not needing the insurance.

Good tip. But also tell them do not scratch your wheels. Some of the tire techs at discount will just abuse your wheels, others are gentle. I tell the mgr AND I walk into the shop and tell the person, don't scratch my wheels please. Otherwise they will scratch them on the mounting machine by treating it like it's a LS wheel off a 2000 malibu.
