So I can still buy the G8 sport pedal set and get the exact same look with a little more work? Interesting..... Like this set better than what the aftermarket offers.

Gene you need to let me know when the parts are available so I can order.

Options For the A6 owner

Hey Guys,

I’m just now jumping in here.
Question: For A6 owners (like myself) what are my options? Is there a ZL1 option (nor or in the future), or do I just go and order the G8 Parts.

Question: The dead pedal someone wrote of looks interesting as well, anyone else try that?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Patrick

Is there a dead pedal that matches the Auto setup?

Are these painted? Or more of a brushed or polish aluminum finish?

It took me a while to do mine... It's worth it once you are done. I love the way they look. I forgot which was the difficult one, but one went right on and the other was a real pain.... I have manual transmission... The gas pedal I had to get a neighbor with small hands to help because I couldn't get my big hand in the little space to get the last screw back in... lOl

But once I was done!!!!

I ordered them from Gene on here... Great bunch of guys.

boy were these a hassle to install...I had to cutaway part of the lip of the brake pedal backing and silicone on - it's on perfect now - I tried for and hour to get the whole lip on to no avail, and have done this many times before on other cars. The gas pedal just requires you to be a contortionist and the plug has a gray clip that has to be pulled before it'll go. But when done, looks good.

I read about the horrors installing these and was not looking forward to it. I fired up my heat gun to really soften up the rubber and with a little screw driver to pry the lips over had all three done in about 20 mins! I may have messed up my fingerprints dealing with the "warm" rubber, but it was well worth it - they look awesome! There was another thread and guys were putting them in the over to sofetn them up. I liked the gun so I could keep the heat only where I needed it.

What is the secret to remove the wiring harness on the accelerator? Do you pull out the gray clip? Or push it in? I have the accessories pedal covers from GM.
