Wow!!! .So quick to light the torches and grab your pitchforks.there is a problem with the SUPPLIER. Once the issue was known to GM,they took action to correct it.What would you like them to do ?,call the ministry of magic so they can conjour some transmissions?.The only scenario i can see for getting mad at GM,is if they found out about the problem ,and did nothing to correct it.Other than that,it's just life...
If you want someone to blame, blame tremec. You could also blame the fact that tremec is able to make them in mexico and not pay an import tax(but that another story altogether). The Government Motors comments are kinda wearing thin as well.

Yea... this is not good at all... I'm not a car expert, but if a transmission is on hold, that does not seem like something that can be quickly corrected.

Crappy cars are wearing thin. When you buy a machine, and the widget that runs the motor doesn't work, you don't research to see who makes the widget, you call the manufacturer of the machine... GM is at fault here, and they obviously Did Not catch the problem considering peoples cars are breaking down...

I can vouch for that dealer, he would not state it if he didn't get it from an inside source.
This whole deal just blows. If this car was going to have so many issues, I know some are small, but some are serious, why not wait and build it next year when everything is correct. They had what 7 years to design, develop, and test this car, why the issues?

Everybody says the tranny is the same as the corvette but it isn't. It is a lighter duty version. The base corvette, z06, and zr1 all have diff versions as well. check the part #s

in a way i'm kind of glad(if there is a constraint) that my car has already been built, that way i know it'll be fixed and sent to me, but to some of the unlucky, they could be waiting a good while.

Okay guys. How many more dealers need to post and how many more members posts about broken output shafts need to be linked so some of you can stop denying the fact. It may take GM weeks to "officially" acknowledge this but you can believe GM has already contacted the dealers! No car manufacturer out there is going to quickly acknowledge bad product so stop giving yourselves false hopes that this is not true because it IS TRUE. So decide, wait or let it go. I for one, am getting close to forgetting about giving a US (Canadian) made car another chance and asking for my deposit back!
