Tell your dealer to log into chevylaunch.com and go to the 2010 camaro section - frequently asked questions....and look for the "Does the Camaro Qualify for discounts..."

Thank you all for the support and Scott for the link.
I'm not sure what he'll try to do, but I'm certainly not writing another check. I plan to respect his request to come in and hear him out, but I did my deed, signed my paperwork and wrote my check.

Will update after my discussion with him.

I also got an authorization number from GM for the supplier discount on the camaro and took it to the dealer when I ordered my car. They told me though that they were not honoring supplier discount on the camaros. So I know the discount is available from GM but the dealer does not have to honor it if the don't want to. But since you signed all the paperwork that to me means that they honored it and you don't owe them anything.

PLEASE ! ! ! Make sure IF you decide to go back (not sure why you would) DO NOT TAKE THE CAMARO ! ! ! !.

DO NOT put the car anywhere near the dealership. You don't know what if anything they may do when you cannot protect it.

Yea, I'm just a bit paranoid, but I'm also a life long observer of how people and organizations can and will do the worst possible things when it comes to money and being on the losing end of a bad deal..

That is a classy move on your part. I don't see anything changing here.
To be honest I am not sure I would go. Let us know what happens...

He accepted your check and payment in full, and signed all the documents needed for you to take the car. Your transaction is done, and he has NO standing. Politely tell him to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

Agreed though, never take your car near that dealership again.

no brainer deals a deal and the documentation is proof you have everything in your favor-
honestly you going to the dealer is only going to give them the opportunity to persuade you into thinking you did something wrong or there was aistake made

You have bank statements paperwork and most importantly an authorization code!

Do you think if u ACCIDENTLY PAID $2367.83 more than you were suppose to that you would be able to gain that back?? Hell no.

A dealer a year back got one of my relatives for accidently placing an extended warranty on the contract that he clearly didn't want but he signed the paperwork and the warranty he had to pay for

U have EVERYTHING in your favor!

DO NOT.let them fool you

He has the money and you have the car correct? One thing I forsee happening is that they will have your new plates. At least thats how it is in NJ the new plates are delivered to the dealer. He may hold your plates ransom. I say if so call an attorney.

I drove by one of the dealerships by my house one Saturday afternoon, they had an Orange SS parked under the front porch area for all to see. A couple of hours later on my way home I drove into the dealership at about 8:00. The car was gone. I asked a guy if they sold the Camaro (it was the only one they had) he said no, the GM took it home, and I would be back on Monday. So I'm thinking this guys will be driving the sh!t out of this thing all weekend. Then Monday I go back in to take a look at this car. It's sitting in the showroom with 1,300 miles on it, the front spoiler of the GFX was missing and there were a ton of scratches in the footwell from all the use this car was getting.

A salesman walks up and starts telling me all of the features and benefits of the car. The was a nice and knowledgeable guy. I told him I was going to go home and talk to the boss about ordering a car from him. A couple of days later I was able to get a supplier discount authorization number. I called the salesman and told him I wanted to order the car and use the number. He told me he would need to call me back, because he had to get the OK from his manager to use the discount. Five minutes later he calls back and says the GM will not accept the discount code for the Camaro. Then he has the balls to tell me if I find a dealer who will take the code to call him back and he would see if they would meet the deal. I told him sorry, I don't do business like that. I was giving him first shot, or I would call around until I found a dealer who would accept the discount code.

So, after one phone call I got the dealer about 5 minutes down the road to take my deal. The first guy called me a couple of days ago to follow up, I told him his competition down the road took the deal.

I don't understand why the GM of the first dealership would be demoing the hottest car in the country instead of keeping it as clean as possible, and why he didn't take my discount code when he has two other dealerships within 5 minutes of him. Oh well, I have my deal done. Just playing the waiting game.
Similar situation happened to me before I got mine or my two... First dealer I called said he had a Black one..I said I was interested and was on the way. I get there and it's yellow. I don't have anything against yellow, but why lie to me? he just wanted to get me in the door. I called him out in front of a crowd of people and said you wasted my time and gas for me to come over here. Second dealer I call says we have one but will not sale that one (Showroom model) and that I could order for 2K over MSRP. I said why would I pay over sticker when I can go to another dealer near by pay MSRP...he says hang on and then comes back and says okay we will honor sticker. These 2 dealers little did they know lost 2 Camaro sales from me and another referral. If the first guy would not have lied and the second guy not been greedy, they would have gotten a total of 3 Camaros out of me, one being a referral. I am quite sure that my current dealer will get other Camaro referrals out of me as well. It just comes down to pure GREED and it make me sick.

Original Poster....You do not owe your dealer anything. You are very nice to even meet with him. Ask him is he willing to risk loosing a long term customer and long term referrals over a discount that he signed off on. He must be getting the axe from GM and is not looking to the future of his business. I mean does he really think you are going to come in there and write him another check? Sometimes you wonder how people get in the position that they are in acting like that. Maybe I am missing something here and greed pays off lol......how one can grow a business in that manner is beyond me.

I had a similar issue with the dealer signing the contract and screwed up the math $500 in my favor, the dealer calls and I laugh at them and hung up, The owner calls and says I’m taking commission from the salesman. I laugh again and hung up. The paper is signed. Finally a dealer getting what they deserve, especially what I have been hearing on the Cam5 .

1100- April 28, 2009 still waiting 1st of 5 allocation

by law dealers can sell any car they have for any price they want. If you have a signed bill and the amount agreed upon in the deal was signed by both parties and they cashed the check and it did not bounce, then you my friend can give them the bird and drive by every day in your camaro and if it floats your boat laugh your ass off.
