GT's will trap higher and have lower ET's than the 3.6. Weight kills us honestly... the gearing isn't bad for some close combat around lights, but after that we're toast.
Focus more on making the camaro a close quarters fighter -- nimble, good shoes, and slight increase in HP. |

Who knows, maybe this is wrong. For what its worth, he thinks the camaro is faster too... either there is something wrong with his car or he sucks at driving it. This was just having fun at street lights, not a drag strip or anything. |

Is there a difference between the LS and LT. Well let me word this better. Is it possible that Chevy tuned the computer for the LS differently than the LT. I rented a LS when I went home to visit family and the car did not seem to have the get up and go as my 1LT. Just wondering because alot of people rent these and base there opinions and the rental.

Mustang Owner Yearning for a Camaro...
Hello Everyone!
Well being that this is my first post, I will have to introduce myself properly: My name is David, and I'm a Mustang-aholic....(who is considering switching sides. )I have been the proud owner of a 2007 Mustang GT for over 2.75 years. She is a garage queen with only 8,900 miles on her. I ordered her to the EXACT specifications that I wanted. She is as perfect a Mustang as I could have imagined. I have even built an old one in the past (pic attached). Subsequently, I have been following the Camaro's development (and lurking on your site) for nearly the same amount of time. And I have to tell you, I am really loving this car. I, as maybe one of the few, am not a Ford loyalist, Chevy Bashing, moron. I respect all Muscle Cars and love that the pony wars are back (even though they may not last as long this time). I am considering trading in my passion for something new and out of the box for me, and it seems that the Camaro is hitting all the right chords....except 1. I can't decide what I want! The fact the V6 has the same amount of horses as my Ford v8??? That's awesome! I could buy a totally loaded 2LT/RS for a little under what I paid for the Mustang and have nearly the same amount of power...... BUT, for a little more money, I can have a monster..... BUT may not be able to afford the fully decked out deal in the 2SS trim. I am struggling with the idea of settling. I do not want to trade what is perfect for something that is close. I want the 2LT appearance with the bigger engine, but I can't have both without shelling out for it. I guess I am reaching out to your community and asking for some guidance. Maybe some suggestions. I have test drives scheduled in the next week at my dealership to feel both out and decide from there. Have any of you driven both? What is your thoughts? Thank you all so much for your help. Whew...switching factions has got to be harder than coming out of the closet. David from Ohio |

i was in the very same predicament, i wanted the SS but i wanted it fully loaded. adding everything i have in my 2lt in a 2ss would be over a 10,000 difference.

and my mind is almost set on buying a twin turbo that would put me way past a stock SS but for a little less money.

Keep both the Mustangs, and buy a new Camaro to match! Nice picture BTW.

Wouldn't a Cyber Gray Metallic with white stripes look good in that pic?

I have owned 2 mustang GT's (88 and 94) 1 5.0 Mustang Convertible (90) and a 2001 Mustang Cobra Convertible. I loved all of them except my 94. I have also never been brand loyal; I just buy what I like at the time which I thought this year was going to be an SRT8 Challenger until I drove both the SRT8 Challenger and then a 2LT V6 Camaro.
Let me tell you, you will love this Camaro. I test drove a 2LT V6 and was very impressed and considered buying it but realized I am really a V8 guy so I got the 2SS/RS instead. I have never enjoyed any of my previous cars as much as I do this one. The one thing you will notice right away that is much better than any mustang is TORQUE! HP is nice but torque is where it is at. My 2001 Cobra was fast but it never felt like my SS. Also the Mustangs look nice but have been around awhile. The Camaro styling is so new it is causing many neck injuries has people whip there heads around to get a look as you go by. ![]() Nice Mustangs by the way, I hope you can find a way to keep both and add the Camaro to your stable also.
