DO NOT do 6,000 RPMS and then DUMP the clutch.

That's a foolish thing to do....regardless of what you are driving.

I'm not saying you have to 'baby' the car -- but don't go out and 'flog hell outta it!"

Meanwhile - we will have more info. as details develop.
Thats right dont push this muscle car too much, cause its not meant to be driven like a muscle car, dont baby it but you can drive little faster than the guys in the civics.......pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Mine must have slipped through the cracks. It arrived today at 10:30 this morning. After what I read on this site, I pushed for delivery of my car and now it sits in my garage. It is a 2SSRS with manual transmission.

We need a thread with every one who's had their tranny break and what their VIN was so we can come up with our own VIN range.

Well isn't this a what for.. .

My CGM 1SS has been delayed three times, it's been morethan 2 months over due, First my Dealer got axed, then electrical issues, then windsheild problems now this... I have about had it..

I expected this from Ford when I got my 2005 Mustang in June 05 but there has not been one major issue or recall (except airbag adjustment) in the last 4 years. This was my First Ford I have owned and I have been so pleased with it it's not even funny... I have not even touched my Camaro yet and I have had it with it... WTF...

My Friend goes to the Dealer last week and bought an SS off the lot without ordering it. (someones order fell though) and he's already having issues with the car. He's Pissed because he can't run faster times that 13.6 @ 106 with a 2.0 60' it stalls in turns, it has overheated twice (blows coolent out overflow) interior electrical issues (Radio cuts out and turn signals don't work sometimes) Sorry for the Rant, just aggrivated

/Rant

At least that is how I understand it.

Hylton? that's right isn't it?
I think everyone waiting for their car has to realize how much effort GM is putting in to ensure that no car leaves their hands with a known problem. The process of being bayed is not a bad thing folks, it's a good thing. It ensures that you will get a high quality vehicle. Is that not what we all want?

In this case, they realized that there was an issue and without knowing anymore than that, they said "all LS3 cars get bayed until we can contain this problem".

In other words, it could very well be a batch of cars or every car after VIN xxx. That is what GM is trying to establish before letting them all go. How many manufacturers would have done that? Most would have let them all go and blamed the owner for the breakage.

We just have to look at how Nissan handled the GTR for a fair comparison - if GM was Nissan and the Camaro was the GTR, we would all be getting a "screw you, you abused the car" response from the warranty folks.

We really have to decide as a group of enthusiasts which approach we want from GM. If we want Nissan's way of doing things, it would take GM about an hour to give us it.
