Did they use the correct gear ratios on the dyno? The 1LE has both different rear gearing and tranny gearing then the standard SS. If they used the numbers for either from the standard SS, it would through off the numbers slightly. I'm guessing they might have incorrectly entered the final drive ratio dur to the tranny gearing. If it had been the incoorect rear end gearing, I think the difference would have been even more.

This is true, the best (most effective) place to remove weight is in the wheels, tires, and brakes. I.E. the unsprung weight. If I'm not mistaken, removing 1lb from the wheels and tires is the equivalent of removeing 3lbs from any other part of the body.

but there are also different internal transmission gear ratios from an M6 SS car too. So wouldn't 4th still be 1:1??

Not saying anything about the dyno, If the 1LE dynos big we will see over time. Otherwise factory freak. Either way, I'm jealous OP. I'd love to have a 1LE.

But as far as the wheels go I get this:

Thanks to MLee with the SSX ZL1 Wheels you save:

SSX - 59, SS (pre 2013) 60.7 lbs
- 1.7 pounds on the front per wheel.

SSX - 60, SS (pre 2013) 64 lbs
- 4 pounds per wheel on the rear.

Now that's ZL1 weights, so the lighter rear 1LE tire may save a pound per wheel more. So even on 1LEs 18s will be the hot setup and make a bigger difference.

While reducing any unsprung weight pays dividends I don't think these numbers are a major contributor to a big dyno number. However all three factors less unsprung weight, electric power steering, and NPP exhaust could make at least some difference.

Looking forward to seeing 1LEs at the track.

So the 22 pounds was a poor estimate by GM? It the weather breaks this car will see some Drag N' Laps track time on Sunday.

I have yet to see anything official that suggest that the NPP adds any HP in the Camaro. The dealer backs this up also. If the restriction is up stream, a free flowing muffler does not really help. I have seen the Corvette numbers, but these cars do not have Corvette exhaust on them. I would just love to see where this is proven.

Very kewl... you're right in with the average... so the ECM fuse pull (5 and 20) is probably not necessary.

EDIT: I have been told on these 5th Gen Camaros the third pull seems the be the sweet spot..

Well as far as proof that is a tough standard... The LS3 before 2013 was putting down about 375- 378 now with the ES and the NPP they routinely put down about ten more. Where does that 10 HP come from?

Dyno numbers vary so much is almost ridicuclous to compare them from car to car like this. You can take your car to 100 shops and they will vary just as much as from car to car. That is why the automakers and engine builders all use engine dynos (like TSP, MAST, ect.) because it is impossible to make accurate comparisons with a chasis dyno. Chasis dyno are first a tuning tool and second a gauge to ESTIMATE gains.
