if you really are going to question that a LS engine is not more durable than a Ford engine....... your not gonna have a good time. Ti-VCT is a "more efficient" engine. but LS are just haus' LS3 hasnt had quite as much time to prove this point...... but every LS1 on the road has ~100k HARD miles on it driven like a Sport is supposed to. and still run like a top.

My LS1 has 148k with a 150 shot and zero problems...
Can a stock 2V/3V do that?

I'd be interested to hear your explanation of how the 4.6 terminator engine and 5.4/5.8 gt500 engines aren't durable without mods.

That's not a 4.6 2V lol, the 5.0's were marginally better

Taxis and cop cars use 4.6's.

I'm going to throw my 'douche' stick into the foray here.

If the Mustangs handle SOO shitty with their log-crap-tastic solid rears, why did it take until 2012 *zl1* and 2013 *1le* to out-handle a track pack GT and Boss?

Because as horribly crappy and terrible as they are *humor me* the IRS equipped camaro was on the losing end big time in 2010/2011 (to be fair, I know that is only a two year span, but still...if the mustang is really that bad, what gives?)

It only took 1 year. Good luck with a 2010 GT against a 2010 SS... Lmao

For starters.. I'm not pro Chevy or Pro Ford although I love them both I am a Audi enthusiast first and foremost!.. therefore I want no crap from the mods about me trolling

back to the conversation..

Yeah what he said.. the hell are you smoking, lmao.. you can sorta compare the 5.4 but mostly the 5.8 to the LS9

The GT500 comes with forged internals, the ZL1 does not, therefore in my opinion, the GT500 engine is way more reliable than the ZL1's LSA... not knocking the reliability of the LSA, I have yet to read about any LSA's crapping out on any of the owners at all... except for 1! which was yet to be determined I believe

That being said.. the GT500 is a better platform to upgrade aftermarket wise versus the ZL1 while there is room to mod the LSA, you'll be finding yourself close to the celling when it makes you wonder "How long is this motor going to last"

Now if the ZL1 had the LS9.. my god!! it would tit for tat bullshit on Camaro5 on whats better than what

So explain, why is the 5.8 GT500 is more powerful than the ZR1??? And don't give me this change the pulley, long tube crap, the fact remains that warranty concerns dictate what power level these respective top tier engines are allowed to operate at. Just how much time and money do you think are spent on durability testing, more than performance testing you can be sure. I don't think GM is in a position be on the short end of warranty issues right now.

A 2010 GT has absolutely zero chance whatsoever against a 2010 SS on a track.
If you have to compare the GT500 to the base SS, that's just sad...

Neither of the bold words mean what you seem to think they mean. The GT500 is built in house by Ford and was developed by SVT like the cobra was. Dealers don't build cars.
