thanks guys good input. What I'm looking at 2013 is a Gray 2 SS 1 L.E. with the NPP, no Nav. it has 16 miles on it. MSRP is 42,980, I was able to get them to 39,723.

the 2014 would be same options including color, just cost more, but newer.. i wonder how much it matters if the car has been on the lot a while

You can get a 2014 1LE for around how much your paying for the 2013.

get a 13 these cars is not dated . Who wants a newer model when it's ugly. You can always add recaro seats. if the lot has the 14's already and a 14 1le too, you will be able to get a deal. But how long don't really mean nothing unless the dealer wants to sell it. Trust me I know! I went to a dealer for a 12 1ss in december last year and they had 13s the same price but wanted 42,000 for the 12 it was on the lot for 300 plus days and wouldn't go down. They just sold it last month for 36,000

You can get a better deal if you order the car since the dealer will not have to pay monthly to keep that car on the lot.

oh, yea true but I would think you would try to sell quick if you don't want to deal with monthly expenses

Speaking of Camaro value, just built the new 2014 Impala on the chevy website. Did the full blown 2LTZ package, only engine offered is V6 305HP and all the bells and whistles comes in at $40,000, wow. You can have a nice Camaro for that.

Also, they are now showing the 4 door, rear-wheel SS model, and it shows the 6.2L V8 and states it is 415HP with 6speed auto tranny. How they squeezed 15 more HP out of it than the Camaro's is anyone's guess...

It's the ls3 in the SS not the L99.

My vote is get the 2013. Easier to change out for a hood vent like a HEX or maybe factory than the rear lights. You can also get seats later on down the road if you wanted.

So does this mean the new Chevy SS does not have active fuel management? It must not if they put the LS3 in it. The whole purpose of putting the L99 in the Camaro wtih an automatic was to get the AFM so they wouldn't have to charge a gas guzzler tax.
