Why are you trying to get the CTS-V pots? You do realize that you can make the stock ones perform just as well or better than them right?

Here is your roadmap:

Racing Brake rebuild kit with Stainless Steel Pistons.
Titanium Backing Plate.
Cobalt Friction XR-1 Pads (For the track ONLY)
Stainless Steel lines
Dot 4 fluid
Slotted Rotors (Quality ones like DBA or Racing Brake)

This is what I run on the track and I do JUST FINE. The numbers do not lie.

Besides, once you go CTS-V the rotors and pads, which are consumable items, are much more expensive to replace.

Just sayin.....

T.
T that looks like a great recipe there. My wants of the CTS-V brakes is as much aesthetics as it is performance.

If the deal works out by the time I sell my stock 1LE stuff I'll only be a few hundred behind and then I have plans to do something similar to that recipe you laid out.

Took the car out late last night, coming home from a buddies house. It was 60 degrees. It is night and day how much better my car runs in cooler weather. I know why but I didn't think it would this noticeable. I just need to find a late night drag strip, open 24 hours. Lol.

That's all there is around here! Start racing at 8pm and go until the action dies down. Only problem is i have to wait until september for a test and tune night.

Its 120 here and haven't seen my car in 5 months. And the A/C has been out for a few days now. Talk about suck.

But I have a crap ton of parts to install when i get back. Ordered the last of the engine, cooling and brake parts this week. That crap adds up fast although it probably has more to do with me buying every part I can. Only thing left will be wheels/tires but no hurry until there's a decent sale. Hoping I can get it tuned in a reasonable time after install but the holidays and whiskey during install will probably get in the way.

I wouldn't be using that cam since you like road courses. Recipe for disaster.

I would think with that torque coming on so early and sticking around so long it would be a great cam for a road course? Valvetrain wear is the only thing I can think of that might be a negative. TBone is a maintenance monster though... so I'm not sure that's relevant.

Yeah I wouldn't mind knowing also. I'm looking into cams at a lazy pace as that will be a next year project.

I have more of a road course mindset myself.

Too max effort for sustained high rpm use. The lobe choice and lift need to be kept in mind when using your car on a road course. Lethal has said as much in posts as well. For autocross, drags, or daily driving it would be excellent.

Maintenance doesn't improve valvetrain stability. A broken spring is a broken spring.
