Factory engine oil 5w30 semi-synthetic?

Since my Camaro is new I'll run what ever they used in my V-6 until my OLM tells me to change it out. Then I'll start to use Mobil 1.

THis topic has been hashed out on many threads for many different manufacturers. What it comes down to, is the laws in North America state that if a manufacturer states that you MUST use a certain brand of oil to prevent voiding the warranty, then that manufacturer must provide that product to the consumer without charge. Simply use the specified 5-W-30 oil, with the proper API performance rating and you will be fine. I will be going in for the second oil change on my Camaro next Wednesday and I have requested Pennzoil 5-W-30 full synthetic and an AC Delco filter. Just my $.02; You do what you feel is best, sir.

I got my oil changed at 1,600 miles and the dealer put in AcDelco Synblend. Now my car has 4,600 miles and I use Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic

2014 camaros come with a 2yr 24,000 mile maintence plan... i have been told by my service advisor on my gmc terrian oil change intervals are 6 months 7500 miles... it uses dexos too....
