It's the law in Florida to wear a seatbelt. You get yourself a ticket if you don't.

If that is the way I choose to take a chance on going out, instead of laying somewhere with tubes hanging outta me, IMO that's my business. Not Yours. Not the States. Not the Feds.

Thank you berry berry much.
Just asked why on earth you wouldn't buckle up when driving. Geezz lighten up. I'd be dead right now if I hadn't been wearing my sealtbelt...Not preaching, just asking.....do what you want, I really don't care.

Sorry I can't help with your original question, I've never had a need to disable the chime.

I'm talking from personal experience. Wear your seat belt. I'm lucky I'm alive to tell you that.

I agree that is it his and others choice to not wear a seat belt, but it is my choice not to give someone an answer that could ultimately lead to their death. Up until 1995, I hated wearing seat belts so I didn't wear them. Well to make a long story short, I went through the windshield of my 1987 Chevy Blazer and I am lucky to be here today. Just last week, I pulled a piece of glass out of my eyelid that has been there over 14 years. As you can see, because I was young and dumb and thought I was invincible, I almost lost my life. Now I agree it is a choice, but it also is law in most if not all states. Buckle up and be safe!

You could however cut off the buckle and permanently leave it plugged in..That would work...

How about you buckle it up before you sit in the car? Or would the belt rub on your back in an annoying manner?

Another thing you could maybe do is buy an old seat belt buckle from a wrecker and just plug it in to the receptacle. Then you don't have to mess around with wires.

These are all just ideas, I wear my seatbelt all the time, so I dont know if it will work.

if the OP wanted you guys to tell him to buckle it........ he wouldn't have posted

gees, everytime someone asks a question about something that may not be legal or safe, they get flamed.......... and never get an answer to the original question.

who knows how to put red halos on a 2010 Camaro?
.....or what its like to have tint the front winshield?
.....or what good street race stories are out there?
.....or how to delete the cats?

I guess we will never know.....

you guys that are spending your time filling up these threads with reasons why he should buckle his seat belt, or why the "red halos" will get you pulled over............. need to find your own "tree hugger" or "law abiding" or "saftey freak" thread.

lighten up.... gees

its to bad that if there is ever an answer to his question.... I will never see it because it will be lost in all the whiner baby posts

let his family worry about his death or dismemberment

To all those who dont wear their seatbelt because it's your "right" not to, just remember who's health and car insurance you are affecting..........it's just not about you!

Why don't you folks just go it alone, and cancel your insurances for both. Don't ask for anything if you are ever in a wreck. Then, we will see how you fair.

The burden lies on us all.
