I think it's time for a dedicated header test, vendor call out, manufacturer call out thread since LG has stepped up.

Lg hasn't stepped up. Yeah i saw the post. No one in their right mind would do this for obvious reasons. LG only "stepped up" because they know no one else will.

So have a question. Where do we need to hook up the oil cooler lines? I was told they run into the radiator as well? I haven't look at it yet to figure it out just thought I would ask and get some direction before hand.

Technically they haven't stepped up. All he said was "All it takes is a call from Jason or Trevor". That doesn't sound much like stepping up. If he had asked for a date, time, and place to send the headers...then THAT would be stepping up. I'm betting he's got his money on Jason or Trevor not making the first move.

If I were you guys, I wouldn't get my hopes up on this test actually occurring. There is the question of manpower as far as who is gonna do all the installs, and all the time and energy it takes to do the dyno pulls. And I'm thinking there won't be much in the way of compensation. If three pulls typically go for $100, and on the low end and install is about $200 if there are no bumps in the road, that's $300 per set of headers. Take the install time, probably about 1-2 hours plus the time to dyno, about 1 hour, and you're talking about 2-3 hours minimum per set IF all goes smoothly. So if you have 5 headers, you're talking about a minimum of $1500 and 15 hours not including breaks, lunch, etc. Not to mention the cost of the headers. Are we all gonna scour the internet for the lowest prices or are the companies gonna give them away at a lower bargain price. All in all, if this testing does happen, it will take some planning and a dedicated group to not only make it happen but to contribute time and resources. It's not like all this is gonna happen next week. Unless 2 companies just up and sends over headers to be tested against each other.

Well, since this will be on an engine dyno changing out a set of headers on that should only take half hour tops (If we have some gloves). Faster if one guy does one side while another does the other.

Since Jason is donating his time and engine dyno, cost shouldn't really be a factor besides actually getting the headers. The biggest cost could be lunch for all the folks that come down to "witness" the event. I know us Chicago boys can EAT!!!!

But I agree, this probably isn't going to happen.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
