Also like you said I came on here for advice and not for people to call me a troll or say this is bs.
He has both. He has a two door F-150 (this one is older. He has had it for about seven years) and a four door Ram 2500 (I think. I would need to confirm the number. This one is newer).

Regarding someone thinking you are trolling or thinking that you are being disingenuous, so what. In my five decades of life have been called a lot of things. Some of them were very unpleasant. As long as I was confident in what my intentions were and in what I was about, it did not matter becasue I knew. I could then disagree without being disrespectful and stand up for myself while maintaining my own dignity. This is available to you as well. It is sometimes easy to do and sometimes not, but that is just life.

Dude trust me,

You got YEARS upon YEARS of cars to deal with. It's awesome your folks are considering to get one for you but honestly, if you're deadset on Medical School (A whole 'nother beast on it's own according to my surgeon stepmother) then I'd be thinking of that money toward college. Undergraduate ain't getting cheaper no way soon.

You never know at this rate, by the time you graduate the V6 might be as powerful as a V8 is today, technology is on a constant uphill run. If it's a true investment that you want to keep I would be looking at something that will depreciate slow at a low upfront price, pay it off and trade that ***** in on a ZL1 or even an SS. Hell even a fully loaded 2LT would be damn fun.

It's not like you can't go back and get a Camaro at any time if you're deadset on a 5th gen. Another thing I noted is the size attribute. I'm not calling you a pushover, I'm saying not every fight is winnable, what's gonna happen when you get into some beef with a kid over your car and he decides to up the ante and pull a gun out? I've seen it happen before over much less. It's a nice car but no way is it worth your life, that's on the road or dealing with people.

In the end, your money, your life. If you do get it, I'd say convertible is the best bet. The majority of the people here aren't cutting you down, we're saying give it some time and build up to a point where you can truly appreciate it. Camaros are gonna be around for a good long time. Be real with yourself because getting a sports car is a whole other field then just getting a car.

To answer your question, I'm 6'6 and I fit in the camaro like a glove. And I could adjust the seat if I was taller to have even more room, but surprisingly these cars have a lot of room for big guys like us.

But keep in mind, any car you get will become a distraction to you. Especially a cool car. I lived it. I saw it. It just is.

And book smarts is not equal to common sense. I'm sorry, but children just don't have the life experiences to make good choices. When you're driving down a 2 lane country road with your friends in the car, and they're pressuring you to go faster, you will make the wrong decision to go faster and put you and your passengers at risk for serious injury or death.
You don't think of the consequences of what could happen. How could you? You don't even know what the consequences are.
Nor do you have any experience at handling a car above speed limits or any idea of vehicle dynamics. It's not your fault. It's just something you learn over time.

I'm sorry, but a Camaro or Challenger is a bad choice for a child. Period.
I don't think a v6 camaro is too much for a young driver at all. They were the first cars to get 5 star safety ratings in every category, and are very safe. Also, since its very difficult to get people in the back seat, its not like the OP will have all of his friends in the car at one time. I think getting your child a camaro is a better choice safety-wise than buying an older used vehicle... Onstar is a big plus also, knowing that someone will always be there incase your child gets in an accident and can't dial 911.

I didn't know the v6 camaro had 5 star ratings but I did know it was safe.

Wouldn't that depend on the length of your arms?

I know from cycling two people of the same height will not necessarily fit on the same bike. I have short power legs like midget or hobbit and a long torso. Average guy my height probably has longer legs and arms than me. I'm sure cars are the same for people of extremes.

I was referring to him having to lean the seat back for full visibility because in my moms kia if I lean the seat back I can barely touch the steering wheel but I can only see the full red light that way.

Yeah and if his arms are longer than yours, he wont have that problem.

Yes I can because if I have a truck I will be considered cool around here in this farm town. But that's not why I want a camaro I want ones of those because I love their style.
