What triggered this whole Camaro thing was this past weekend I saw a 2014 in person and I must admit, I was skeptical of the rear lights but seeing them in person they actually look kind of cool. And it was a V6 model I saw. I wish they had done some type of interior upgrade to the 14's. But the car just looked really good. I had looked at a '13 a month ago but wanted to wait to see the 14's. But the rear lights look much better in person.

I'd love to do a super charger, but $7K really isn't in the budget right now lol. Plus I'd like to do a cam first and replace all the DOD lifters and garbage thats in there.
You can't do $7K on a super charger because it's not in your budget but getting a $37K 1LE is?

If having a rare car is important to you then this car is not for you i will admit that. There is one thing that you will miss are those fun meet and greet of other Camaro enthusiasts. Its a lot of fun.

My last car was paid off but i had to have a Camaro. The car is every thing i thought it would be and more but having a car that is nice as a G8 and paid off is even better. I love my car but the car payment thing gets old after a while.

Haha there's a difference between financing a car for $400 a month and dropping $7K at once. I could I just don't want to blow $7K at one time. Sure theres credit cards and stuff but I pay my stuff in full. And the Camaro would be more like $47K after taxes.

I shouldn't have said it's "not in my budget" I just don't want to spend that right now on my current car.

I would definitely keep the G8 until you can have both. Its paid for and would make one killer daily driver/work car when you get your Camaro.

In the meantime why not swap a 6 speed into the G8? It would completely transform the character of the car.

If Pontiac was still being built I probably would have bought a g8 or similer Pontiac car instead of my Camaro. I have owned Pontiac most of my life.

Do you have to have a new 1LE? It's tough to get to 400/mo at $47K. Why not wait for the right used deal to come around, and keep both. Your G8 is paid for, so you have nothing forcing you to pull the trigger now.

ss 1le then loose the wrap and customize it too taste.........

When if ever you watch a auto auction and they have a four door vs a two door of the same model you know which one goes for a lot more..........

Sure there are a lot of Camaros now, but a lot are v-6. You can wait and buy used also and save a bundle on depreciation also!!!!!!!!! Or buy used now also and see what the budget will get you with a trade in. I know for one you would love the HUD......and other progress in the handling etc of the Camaro.
But in reality it all comes down to you.
