I did, I got almost 250 views in a day (which is a lot for a G8 board lol) and not one person has inquired. I put a feeler thread out there at a price of $23,000 which is only $1,000 more then KBB.com said the cars worth so I don't think thats being ridiculous. Just to see if I could gather up some interest, but so far nothing

i traded my 2009 G8 GT for a camaro ss 1le and havent looked back. dont get me wrong i loved my G8 but this camaro is in a whole other league. it had 36k miles stock everything and the dealer gave me $21,000 for it so i dont think $23,000 is unreasonable especially with those mods. long story short...you wont be disappointed with the camaro

I run the SS, and the second car is a Grand Prix GXP 5.3L, only one second slower than the camaro, but fits a kayak inside and closes the trunk!

If the car is paid off then keep the G8, you'll never see them again for obvious reasons. Then go out and buy that 2014 SS.

Keep the G8.
That feeling of not having a car payment is so nice! Take more time to enjoy that. Wait a year when 2014 model prices drop and then get the SS. Otherwise, you will be struggling financially with a 5-6 yr car loan. That way you can take the time to feel like letting the G8 go. It would be 6 yrs old then. Personally, I have a 2LT and I'm looking for a blk 2009 G8. |

Nothing pretty about a G8...looks run of the mill. Pontiac could have done so much with the styling on that platform but they chose to copy BMW styling...thus no more Pontiac.

I say find a Nice lightly used G8 GXP with a stick. Yes will be hard to find and Yes will be prolly 30k in price or more but it will still be a G8 but with a stick and Ls3 in it. That is my suggestion.

While looking at Wikipedia it says they made only a tick over 38000. I would keep it because they are pretty rare. If you desire a stick search out a GXP and trade it. They only made 1829 GXP's in both manual and auto's.
Here is from Wikipedia: A G8 GXP version was shown at the New York International Auto Show in March 2008 with a 6.2-liter[13]402 hp (300 kW) V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette and a six-speed manual transmission.[17] The production version of the GXP was more powerful with its LS3 V8 producing 415 hp (309 kW) and 405 lb·ft (549 N·m) of torque. Both the six-speed Tremec TR-6060 manual transmission and the six-speed automatic transmission were available. The GXP reached 60 mph (97 km/h) from a standstill in 4.5 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 13.0 seconds at 109.6 mph (176.4 km/h), and 0.90g (8.8 m/s2) of lateral acceleration on a skidpad.[18] The GXP has an upgraded, Nürburgring-tuned FE3 suspension package, as well as larger, ventilated Brembo disc brakes. It also features a unique front bumper cover and a rear (non-functional) diffuser to differentiate it from the standard Sedan and GT models. Total sales of the Pontiac G8 GXP were 1,829 units.[19] Only a limited production of 6 G8 GXP was available in Canada |

One G8 owner to the next, pay off the G8, save your money, enjoy life without a car payment, then a year or two after payoff buy a camaro and keep the G8. That's my plan anyway. You'll regret not keeping the G8. It's one of a kind and its a great car! Bottom line be patient and you'll have two awesome cars.

Keep the G8 ....... the G8 is so uncommon of a car, you rarely see any G8 GT Pontiacs in my area ...... Keep it, since you can pick up any 5th Gen Camaro in any configuration you want, new or used ....
I wish I had a G8 GT ..... |

I would keep the g8.....sounds like you really want a Camaro though.... tough choice... both are nice fast cars..... only reason I went with the g8 is cause there is a Camaro on every corner... sold 4x the number of Camaros n the first yr than they made total in the g8.... and they are one of those cars you can make very fast....

Actually I thought this was a Mustang forum
![]() Everyone has been unbiased so I don't care that it's a Camaro forum. It's Camaro related so I don't see the big deal, but thanks for the input.

The G8 outhandles the Camaro. I had a G8 but sold it to a family member who had need.
I would recommend keeping it, in your situation. Do love my SS vert, though. |
