The person that said it used meaningless buzzwords to hurt your feelings. It wasn't about who you are, it was about making you feel bad. The person that said it has some self-hate issues. That's their problem, not yours.

My reply to that person would have been unprintable but it would have involved toys stored in a nightstand and the other person's mother.

The best I heard the other day was a 22 year old who posted on his FB that "parents shouldn't make changes in their lives that affect their kids lives..." Now this "kid" is in the Navy, and his parents still give him money. Well apparently that recently stopped because Dad retired, they are stuck with a house in IL they can't sell, and moved down south. I wanted to punch this kid for being an arrogant little shit. Parents need an ass kicking too, but it seems this generation feels privileged and deserving based on all the likes he got.
Especially coming from a service man or woman... ehhhh...

as far as parents needing a bitch smack also- mildly off topic but my wife works as a pre school teacher/day care provider for the only place in town that takes state assistance... some of the kids I have seen and some of the reports my wife has had to file for child neglect would make you smash your monitor right now.

My reply is always "your Prius my save the environment, but my Camaro saves my dignity"

Don't the new impala LTZs get into the mid-low 40s? I don't think that's a rich persons car..my camaro was $43k and change brand new so I hardly think it would be considered that but hey that's just me...now if it were a $70k Z/28 that was used strictly as a weekend toy ya maybe then I could see the whole "must be nice" attitude from others...

I usually get "mid life crisis?" My reply is always "No, it took me 30 years of working my a$$ off to make sure that my family is well cared for and needs nothing before I could afford my car!"

In one ear and out the other that is how I handle it, I wouldn't even respond. I worked hard and saved over the years, I am fortunate to have the material things that I do have and have had. I refuse to allow someone's thoughts or comments take away from that.

Play on words, exactly the same thing i meant. Just in my case I was different, I was stationed in Japan and stashed money to the side so as soon as I got back to the US, I could purchase a SS. Age 23, middle age men give me dirty looks or thumbs up haha

I always get called this, they say it's un natural for someone who is 23 years old to have already had 13 different vehicles since turning 16. I know I'm not the only one that's had this many different vehicles!

Because for some reason in society people assume that if they can't do it by any stretch of imagination nobody can, I get this a lot from my own extended family.

Credit is not hard to manage, neither is money. All you need to do is monitor your spending and pay things on time. A Camaro at a young age is not difficult to achieve at all, but it involves commitment. Something that the majority of my peers I've noticed do not seem to understand. They think that a degree = a job after school and this job will lead to the items they want. This is not the case.

Work hard to play hard.

I didn't respond. It was said behind my back on a fb page by some other "car owners" I have a lot of haters in the car world. Not to toot my own horn but my car has really taken off this year and I've won a lot of awards with it, gotten magazines interested in featuring it, its on several websites, fb pages, has a cleaning product sponsor and a few sponsored parts, etc. So the hate is just normal but I'm definitely not privileged anything. I'm in my 30s, single mom of 7 yr old twin girls, survived major health complications in my life and still deal with daily. This car could very well be the last thing I get to enjoy before my short life is over. So it does rub me the wrong way when someone makes a comment like I shouldn't have that car. I worked hard for that car, I still work hard for it. I manage my $$ extremely well and can afford nice things, I shouldn't be called names for it.

Oh well, haters gonna hate.
