the funny thing is alot of this hysteria people claiming foul and talling others to go up in arms is just not true. Most of this stuff has been isolated incidents or a small seqence of cars on the line. Only one thing comes to mind that is mass, and that is the battery cable and that was caught and fixed. So before everybody runs off and tries to be tattle tals and get rest of us fired up just chill.

I think that many people are buying for looks and dont know or care if their cars are slow. Others are up gradeing from a slower 4 and 6 banger's and to them it feels fast, so I feel there are many more cases that have not been reported.

I don't know what anyone thinks they have to fear from pulling the publicity threat when neither the dealers nor GM reps are falling all over themselves trying to make them happy. If that was my car I'd be in someone's face every day until it was resolved the way I wanted it for my money.

That said, however, I also get the feeling that even if I did no one would be compelled to do anything more for me than they have for these guys. Since performance isn't a warranted issue and any idiot could make a fool out of me if I tried to take that to any court in the land, GM could easily tell me it's not their problem and be perfectly within their rights to do so. What do you have to lose?

More as things develop... ....

That said, I am wondering what the latest is with IRPQ...
Been busy as hell. As far as the car goes. I dropped
it off on Wed. Picked it back up Thursday and am dropping it back off for the tests tomorrow.

Remember that they have refused to do anything on mine.

BullShit. It is a warrantied item to me. In print on their website it says 0-60 in 4.7. They said it was going to be a sub 5 second 0-60 car before I ever ordered it. One of the big reason I did order it was to have a fast car.

I want what I paid 37,000.00 for.

You guys are taking me out of context. All I'm saying is you have no LEGAL recourse (Lemon Law, product misrepresentation, product not meeting Mfr.-backed claims, etc.) because auto companies can't guarantee numbers (for all the reasons people have listed that can cause numbers to vary situationally).

You got the spirit right, though, and that's exactly what I'd be laying on the desk of every customer-satisfaction-related employee I could get an appointment with and asking when they plan to complete our transaction. Light a fire under GM's ass to either fix, replace, or refund your purchase on your schedule, not theirs, and make very clear to them that the rest of the world who isn't in there demanding satisfaction soon will be, and you're not averse to opening that door.

Yeah, I realized after I posted that you were on your trip to Houston. Did the dealer do anything to the car.. at least, did the tell you what they found/did? I am at the point where a discreet dyno tuning is looking better/better.

he does have the lemon law recourse, once the dealer admits there is a problem and they try to repair it the days start counting

Aren't you guys over looking a few things. If you car is putting down 305hp at the wheels, how are you getting beat by a v6 that puts out 300 hp at the flywheel????? Maybe it isn't the engine at all that is under performing.....

If one dealer doesn't do anything for you, take it to another. I don't understand why no one has done this, but the best thing to do is take it too a good tuner and have them scan your car on the dyno and road. This will show what the engine is doing and why. Could be as simple as a sensor reading improperly thus the pcm is reducing power.
