I rowed gears on a Barton in their booth at the fest last year...it was impressive. A lot like my old STI on throw but notchy like my vette's short throw. Nice positive click through the gates.

honestly i don't think that you could have too much of a reduction, could you? especially if your using it on track days. i think its all up to your personal preference. i know that doesn't really answer your question but i think its mostly up to personal preference.

I hung out with Matt and Rodney from FSP this afternoon and had a great time. If it keeps raining down here I may go back. I got to see some real interesting builds and hear some great stories.

Just as I think I have my mind made up and want to go with the mgw........
Now I'm flip flopping again. Haha

Good reading.

Muddflap.... definitely find a local and try out the shifter before you buy. Whether you go Barton, Hurst or MGW you will be using it CONSTANTLY and it is a very personal choice. So try before you buy.

The reduction of the Barton sounds nice but I like the better springs on the 2-3 of the MGW.... Decisions decisions

Jack Olsen The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. I can't wait for my next Track fix.
