Camaro5 is a great place to learn about these cars. I'm a member on other car forums and this place has a great wealth of technical info compared to others.

There are trolls like any place on the internet, but I agree. This place is great entertainment and a fantastic information source. Literally every question I have ever had about my car has been answered by Googling "Camaro5 _questions_".
And I absolutely LOVE how long the tongue in cheek jokes about Camaro drivers waving has lasted. I every time I see it pop up.

This forum is way better than the challenger or mustang forums, have fun trying to find mod info and other things like that quickly on their sites

True but I hate we can't even DISCUSS "street racing" on here, let alone post vids.

some observations:
I've been on countless Camaro / Firebird /GM enthusiast forums over the past 17 years........ I've seen a lot of them that I refuse to return to simply because of the total lack of decorum and behavior that far surpasses reprehensible..... Many of you have seen me continually post "..the name Camaro means 'friend, pal or comrade'...." I think that speaks volumes to the positioning of this car.......but I also think we need to take that to heart - and remember it even when we're angry. (me? I've completely worn out my 'delete' key......!!........and yes, at times I need to be reminded!) This is, without question, the largest Camaro Enthusiast site out there...and I firmly believe that's so for one reason: >>>>>The Moderators<<<<<< They do a great job of keeping people 'civil' -- They do this without salary - they do it because of the passion they share for the 5th Gen Camaro and the people who are associated with ownership......... And yes - it's a great site because of the caliber of the people who frequent this site - and I believe the moderators have done a great job of getting rid of troublemakers...... I've said countless times that the internet is a two-edged sword. On the positive side: We can search for just about anything...and get an answer. (...hopefully it's truthful ....) On the negative side: it brings out the worst sometimes in humanity. I see people use language that they wouldn't dream of using in front of their parents or grandparents - or their children, quite frankly. I also believe it may be the undoing of our civilized society - but that's a topic to be discussed at another time....... THE POINT: This site was created for those of us who love the 5th gen Camaro. It's forged tens of thousands of friendships. It's provided support when people have a problem with their car(s) - and even more heartening: when they have a problem in their lives. I know for a fact that people on this site come to the rescue of those whose lives have suddenly unraveled - and the amazing part? Those who bring the aid will never mention it to you! So - I say we owe our moderators a debt of gratitude for what they do. Yes - there will always be those who complain that they were 'banned' or 'censored' -- and I'd also venture to say that the moderators were correct at least 95% of the time.......... So - my hat is off to our Mods - and I applaud them! I hope you do, too!
