Just my opinion.

Be careful with that advice, the modes were actually designed for the track so learning them in town is different than learning them on the track. Just because you mastered the car in-town with the nanies off doesn't mean you are ready for nannies off at the track. This may work for you but there are a lot of people out there who have no background with these cars and they take peoples advice here and get themselves in trouble. IMO it is best to learn the modes in stages.

Adding to the above "break-in" advice no heavy stops if you can help it. Let the rotors and shoes break-in I beleive for 500 miles.

Dont worry about the acceleration. MY car really opened up after 2100 miles. Motor and transmission became very smooth and responsive(power). I think everyone should adhere to the recommended break-in instructions.

I understand that they wrote that section into the break in procedure but it makes no sense when you have to suddenly make a "panic stop" with a car or object in front of you! Oh wait I have to ram the car ahead of me because I cannot stop hard because the manual says no heavy stops. I bedded my pads and seasoned the rotors the moment I got it on the freeway. Some things I agree with regarding break in others have worked out better for me personally.

I think they would understand a "real world" stop, that is unavoidable. I believe they don't want you to do it intentionally.
I think the also would understand if you exceeded 80mph because you had a truckload of Zombies chasing you!

Question about accelerating in it...I know you shouldnt run it hard when it is brand new but if I put the pedal to the floor the car seems to lose power a bit and sort of surge and delay and then it opens up...where as if I slowly give it gas till its all the way open it accelerates much better. Does this have to do with the supercharger? Thanks all!
What you're describing is the traction management kicking in, can you please try it again when its safe and see if the orange light blinks on your cluster? Mine does it all the time.

I'll do that. Not now though, only have 300 miles, taking it easy for now.

my .02.

put about 250 to 500 miles on it moderatly heat cycle all the gear and such a few times. then hammer it. you can't master any car with nannies on IMO so then find a good place where you can get a feel for the car at no risk and get a feel for it.

I find this car way eaiser to drive than my Z06 so nannies off in this car is a blast to me.

of course on the interent all the safty nazi's will come out. don't drive the car hard for 50,000 miles and never turn the nannies off caue you will die. niether of those options work well for me though ha ha.
