Alot of airflow under the car and the car already has stock heat shields because of the exhaust. Not in the engine bay so very minimal increase in heat there.

They go right where the stock cats were, so it is already meant to get hot. All the exhaust pipes are where exhaust pipes are stock. Unlike a front mount or top mount that run hot pipes in places they were never meant to be.

Currently, I have headers with high flow cats and a 3" exhaust. If I put the stock manifold back on, I'm guessing I'll lose the high flow cats as well. Does the kit come with an adapter to connect to the a 3" exhaust?

You could order it with full 3" downpipes if you wanted instead of setup for stock type systems.
Another thing on the heat, all manifold adapters, turbine housings and downpipes are ceramic coated. They even have factory manifolds coated/etc if you want coated manifolds too. With everything ceramic coated I wouldn't be surprised if their is less heat back by the tranny then a stock cat setup.

Tires don't even come close. I think the first few are out to the powder coaters. It will be an optional upgrade to the kit. Works great. Been driving the car around with it. Worth it for the sound alone. Putting the filters up right next to the window/etc gives you sweet noises and you can hear everything the turbos do.

To our knowledge, none of the dual 3" cat-back systems are full 3" all the way to the front. They all seem to reduce to 2.5". And our mid pipes are mostly 3" from the turbo all the way back to the cat-back, where we also reduce to 2.5" to make this connection easy. You will gain a nice little bit of power by having these 2.5" reduced sections cut out and replace with a short piece of strait 3" pipe. You could easily get your 3" high flow cats put in at the same time. |

Does anyone know what the total weight of the kit is with 51s and small intercooler.
Thanks Greg

Weight added to car or weight of kit? Since you remove stuff that would be two different numbers. I have no idea but I'm sure they could provide the shipping weight but that would include boxes/etc.

I asked a similar question in another thread.
The pertinent question is what is the added weight over the nose of the vehicle with this kit. The addition of this and the subtraction of that probably minimizes the added weight. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
