holy crap!

I guess the knock sensors pull timing and AFR. Goes to show, don't ever use 87 octane.

so here's the synopsis:
cracked ringland happened during a track run on a lean afr at high rpm. detonation cracked off a piece of the piston and smashed the plug closed. plug was physically reopened with a screwdriver and the engine ran ok.
All mishaps from running AFR too high and not knowing it or not caring.

Now if you plan to Mod your car, and Want a Great Mail Order Tune for your Mods SCT is the Best choice, and I give FREE Custom Tunes for Parts you buy from Me.

Ask around, I have tuned over 400 (I lost Count) 2010/11 Camaros to date and do 3-5 a day, and Every one is Pleased with the Results, On the Street, ON the Dyno, and On the Track.

If your looking to tune yourself then Look at HP Tuners, or EFI Live.

Your Not too far away to take a ride up and Check us out.

Ted.
Now when you dyno tune your car it voids your warrenty right? Does hand held Tunes do the same? Have CAI, and straight pipe from cats back. and was wondering what Dyno tune or Hand held Tune would be best just to get the best out of what I have on there. I dont want to do anything else as for performance mods until warrenty is done.. 2013 1SS/RS package

You can dyno your car all you want...it's what you do after the dynoing that might VOID your warranty.

IF you had an engine failure and went to the dealer with your current mods the dealer would not warranty your engine.

So you have already Threatened your warranty.

In over 1500 Gen 5 Tunes that I have done Not one person had they're warranty voided.

Ted.

Are you tunes on stealth mode or something that GM won't detect them? Lol

No one has had a failure that caused anyone to look

They can see that it was tune even if returned to stock.

So do you have tunes programs that you can mail for installing, or do i just get a hand held tunner?

Both.

You start by purchasing an SCT Tuner which is the tool to transport tunes in and out of your computer.

The tunes are sent by email.

Any further question feel free to ask.

Ted.
