SS2 with a tight and pronounced lope but good drive-ability? Is that possible?

It is possible but as the Lsa tightens for a more aggressive idle, drive ability will start to deterotiate some. It can be done though.

Rhino revs his SS4 over 7k. I'm thinking 7.2-7.4k. The key is to get the GOOD valvetrain to go with it. BTR FTW.

Yes it does. Hardened pushrods, dual valve spring kit with titanium retainers. Very nice setup that is packaged with every kit we sell.
