Couldn't believe how mangled that was. Unbelievable. And how ironic.

Good time to stress safety items for racing.

I saw the pics of that car. Man is that thing mangled to heck. I hate to say it, but there was probably alcohol and/or drugs and high speeds involved. Cars just don't get that wrecked in normal accidents. They can't even determine who the driver was at this point. Drive safely you guys. Anything can happen out there. It don't even have to be your fault. Its the holidays and there are lots of intoxicated and tired people out there driving. Be careful.

Eh speculation? No drugs or Alcohol and we know who the driver was.

No offense. But it takes a few days sometimes even longer to get results from a toxicology screening. And I said they couldn't confirm who the driver was because this was true based on the report I read at the time I made the post. I see now that they are saying Paul Walker was the passenger. And yes, it is speculation. Meaning to think, examine, or wonder about a subject. My statement stands. A vehicle does not get wrecked the way that one got wrecked in normal accidents. Take a look at the pics. It sure as heck doesn't look like any accident I've ever seen. Anyway, I won't deliberate over any specifics of this incident because I don't care. I don't know him. I know you guys on here. And I was using this incident as a way to say to drive safely and be careful especially at this time of year. There are people out there doing all sorts of things while driving.

A couple years ago around this time, some idiot in an SUV suddenly changed lanes on me at 45 mph while I was right at his passenger side rear door. I had to slam on my brakes and almost ended up having an encounter with a tree. Dude didn't even realize what he did even after I pulled right back up alongside him to pleasantly thank him for almost ending my life. The real tragedy is that none of you guys would have ever met me if I didn't just so happen to be super alert at the exact time this happened. Imagine that, lol!! Be careful out there is all I'm really trying to say.

Brings into focus my dumbA moment earlier today. Figured it would be fun to go flog on the car today...50 deg and 315 street rubber. Spins at 60mph from a punch. Figured I would do a 45mph tire haze...umm...I thought the side airbags were gonna deploy...it ripped side to side so freakin hard...took two lanes to gain control. No traffic where I was playing, but still. Gotta remember to respect the HP yet still clown at will.

You'll get a vibration so use a rubber bushing on the Trans.
I actually talked to him a lot when I was on the fence of buying a new clutch or building the 400. Definitely excited me to see his times, almost made me want to run the 400 with my current setup before slapping the maggie on there, almost. And it is definitely noted to not get a poly bushing for the trans.

This rule also only applies to unaltered 2008 and newer OEM.

But FWIW I can and probably will end up running with out a cage at my track. I can only run on the wednesday nights though, you can get away with murder on a wednesday night at my track. Can probably get away with it on friday test and tune as well. However I really want to do points this year, but likely won't have the cage and everything done in time to pass tech inspection.

Be careful man. A year ago I left out of a Windmill. And it was pretty cold out. I gas it a little extra gas and almost left my signature on a median divider. It doesn't take much...

I feel you GG. Granted I don't have as much power as you, but I definitely learned not to play around on the street like I used to with my previous power level.

I did this exact thing only on a highway at 70mph, 40 degrees on stock Pirellis, was getting pinched between two semi trucks, one in left lane, the other coming in hard from entrance ramp. I down shifted and punched it to get ahead of them and went side to side in front of the semi, scared the crap out of me. Mostly pissed at my self for not knowing the limits of the car. This was cam only at the time, now with sc it's even scarier lol. Be careful out there fellas!

Ageed brad. You're way over me in power and I had the same problems last year on the pirellis as soon as it got chilly. These all season hankooks don't change much when it gets cold. It'll still get a little loose and squirrely, but not sideways without doing it on purpose.

When I do drive it in the cold it's on the Nitto Invo's now, just as bad, lol. I drove to the store down the street the other day on the dr's in the cold, that's just stupid loose right there. Not recommended! lmao!
