yea, they'll fit, it's just a pita, and it will be cramped. any coupe will be, it's not just the camaro. your also going to find long trips, vacations, and stuff like that a nightmare. trying to pack all the gear needed for even a weekend stay in the trunk of a camaro will give you migraines.

As I posted before I have been running 2 car seats in my 2010 Camaro (daily driver) with no issues 1 rear facing and 1 forward facing with plenty of room. You just need to find some good seats I will see if I can get the model of the ones I have I know they are evenflo.

That would be cool. I was looking online and evenflo seemed to have the smallest dimensions by far of all the brands I found.

As long as my wife can sit somewhat comfortably in front of the car seat that is all I'm looking for. We will probably be using her car for any long trips, and for most any trips with both of us and the baby for that matter.

My boys are 6 and 8, and on the rare occasions when they go in my daily driver they fit okay, they sit on booster seats.

what car seat is the rear facing? I know a forward will, but with our first, the infant car seat was a pain. I'm going to have an infant and a rear facing...

i think the camaro has less room in back than my 98 Firebird. my firebird is a coupe, and camaro a vert. i think the side panels make it smaller. i think a car seat in a coupe would be easier than on a vert . i just cant see how a person could get a car seat, forward or rear facing in back of a vert easily. my 9 yr old son still rides in both cars in backseat and he likes the camaro vert back seat better as he actually sits further in the center to where he can see beyound the headrest. the vert has narrower seats. the firebird he cant see. but, i think one child in a car seat in camaro is possible, but could be a headache getting in and out with low roof line. with a vert, put the top down, and i suppose you could access it easier, but in winter with 35 degree temps, you may look silly putting the top down to put a car seat in! ha ha ha

Hmm.. this is a tough one!:(

Maybe you could try Diono Radian... It has a narrow base and is specifically made for smaller cars.. It rear faces to 30 pounds and front faces to 65 pounds (with the 5pt harness).. There is only one problem with it and that is its tall shell..which makes it a front-to-back space hog. However, Diono sells an angle adjuster that largely alleviates that problem, but children must be able to sit independently and have full head control before you can use it... some say you can use its fit for use by a 10month old.. but I guess its a choice that you have to make.

You should also try Safety 1st Guide 65.. it hasn't got all the feature of Radian but its one of the smallest convertibles that you can find. Its got a decent weight and height limit.. RF- upto 40lbs and FF 65 lbs..
Its five-point harness and has 3 buckle locations for proper fit.

You can visit their official sites for more info or even check out this comparison between the two seats:

http://us.diono.com/convertible-to-booster/radianrxt
http://safety1st.djgusa.com/en/djgus...tible-car-seat

You can even use this Car Seat Finder to search for the perfect sized seat for you car.

I hope this helped a bit!

and btw.. Congrats !!

we had the forward facing behind the driver (me and I am 5'11" 320 lbs), and the rear facing behind the passenger seat.

I just found this article for rear facing convertible size comparisons. Now to see which pass the Camaro test.
