It won't stop the oil consumption no, but it will stop the oil that's being consumed from going back into the engine.

Catch can is nifty. If you plan on having the car for years get one and change to a better fluid in all your cars orrifices. If you are a couple year then trade in guy dont worry about it.

Thanks Stig for clarifying to him...Not If you read the previous post it seems normal that you will consume more oil in manual mode because my RPM are running higher than normal because you tend to stay in a gear longer.. Makes sense.. The oil consumption is just the nature of the beast.. So the catch is good to have if I'm going to continue to drive as aggressive as I am to prevent bad oil from getting back in the engine. So I'm not solving my oil consumption problem, I'm keeping my engine from failing..my concerns were addressed, but at the same time some preventive advice was offered regarding the catch can..
