I installed my CAI A year ago and can't remember if I did a disconnect. Also, I don't think the shop that installed my HFC's did any type of disconnect. I watched him and he didn't.

I didn't watch my mechanic do my CAI, since he beat me up, and had it done before I was dressed. But I have not seen any codes.

And I think the only time we disconnected the battery was when we installed the wiring for the amp.
