HEINRICY: "I'll put fresh tires on before you get it." JAY: "And will one of THOSE have a leak?" HEINRICY "I certainly hope so!"

Engine options
Some info about early engine options, the new 3.6di is RATED higher than ALL except the 396 and 427. They were rated differently then, but 3oohp is still really good for a factory 6 cylinder.

I hope it's the 6.2. The car I have now has a 6.0. It's a wonderful thing.

I have tried searching the internet for gen V info, but no luck. Is there any info out there that shows what these engines can do? I am not a gear head, but if i could get a high tq/hp engine with a smaller lighter engine and ~30mpg I would take it. But I voted 6.2 for now.

I'm very supportive of new technology, especially if that new technology delivers efficient horsepower. For the Camaro, however, all evidence points toward a current-use generation IV.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1533 This is all we know about these engines...and even this little bit is enough to get you smiling for quite a while... Also, it's worth mentioning that the Denali concept from GMC, that new-age looking pickup truck? GM says it has a concept of a 4.9L GenV V8 engine which produces about 326hp. |
