Some folks like to replace the timing chain, or the rocker trunions, and we can do that. But it is not needed honestly. We have had 0 failures with timing chains, oil pumps, or rocker arms with hundreds of installs done.

You can do it if you want, but its not a necessity. LS1s had nothing. Ours have a guide, and 9 times out of 10 that one has broken, relates to damaging during cam install.

With any cam installation...does the L99 resonator have to be taken off due to back pressure?

No. It's actually not restrictive. It's more for sound cancellation. It would sound better with it off.

How close are the SS2 an SS3 in estimated horsepower rating with full bolt-ons? I am wanting to maintain my drivability and am not sure if I want to upgrade from my stock torque converter.

Probably about 15-20 Rwhp on most setups. The ss2 is max cam I'd go on stock converter.

So if I go with a Maggie with all of the extras (Longtubes, CAi etc etc) can you make an SS1 perform like a champ? Looking for a little lope but as I understand it, the blowers love a higher LSA and the lower the LSA the better the chop?
I'd love to find a winning combo with a Maggie and one of your cams.
