So what s/c produces the best torque I'm looking at Whipple and Maggie. besides the fact that the whipple is a twin screw and the Maggie a roots I have no idea how the two power bands differentiate.
The Maggie was good to about 10.5 then it was a bitch and a lot of money to get the last .5. There was belt slip, packing the blower with to much air, ridiculous Iats, crazy wheel spin, just to name a few.

If you want to go faster than mid 10's choose a different blower. The ONLY reason I had the TVS was bc in 2009 that was the only option.

You have a 3500 stall. Perfect for a YSI. We bumped mine up to 3200. With the torque from the stroke and a YSI at 20+ psi that that 3200 should be perfect to hit hard and not blow the tires off.

No need to worry about torque. Go with a centri from out local parts whore....Matt!!

Anyways bro I'd go with some twins if I could do it again
Guess your right I have a lot of time before I even go s/c'd but you know me I like doing my research with a lot of time just to ensure my buys. Twins does sound nice but with an already high compression motor (11.5) I'll be limited to 9 psi without meth and I would have to go down to 11.0 cr (with some thicker head gaskets) to even be able to run stock Whipple boost. Its still a long ways to go but you got me thinking that day at church's haha.

Sounds like centri or twins ftw. Now the planning and research begins.

Glad your back man! I'm glad I ran out before I had any mishaps. I'm curious to see how well your new setup will perform.

I had the options of going twins. Was told by a few reputable guys that the heat created by the certain kit was so bad it would play havoc on the car. This my YSI choice.

I'm getting anxious to see how the car drags too. It was a shitty year so it's been so long since I made a clean pass. I'd expect 9.5's or faster. 418, 10:8.1, YSI at 20+ psi with meth, 3200 stall, 15" kit, etc. I'm pretty excited!!

That's pretty close to my planned setup. I'm keeping stock brakes with the 17" welds. ET well I'm not expecting record breaking times specially at my local track but I'd like to dip into the 9s a time or two. Right now I'm just looking forward to trying out the new 4L with the 9" with my YSi on a stock bottom

I'd like to get back on a radial. That's why I jumped down to a 15". I could also try a 16" radial but the 15" setup looks bad ass.
