Shift Points in the 1LE

The main road near me is 50 mph and is 12 miles long. I usually hit 54 mph in 3rd and then slide right over to 5th and stay at that speed for the gas mileage. I average about 18 mpg.

90% of the time, it's 1st to 3rd to 5th to cruise at 50 MPH. I only have 500 miles on my 1LE, but I'm getting 16-ish gas mileage at the moment.

i never even think of shift points. I can tell you one thing....you aint getting to 0-60 in 4.3 seconds if you're shifting 5 times. theres is zero pull in 6th and i still find myself putting it in 6th if im in steady traffic at 45-50 mph.

I'm in 4th often and commonly go 1-4 without being forced to.

I do think my driving habits are a bit different because i dont have a daily commute and traffic in my area is f'ing horrible.

you got to remember these gears overlap quite a bit. you could be going 45 mph from 2-6.

Good point about the 0-60 what is the best shift patter for attempt...

Is it 1-2? Or Just 1 and stand on it... Or does 1 even make it to 60...

I think I read somewhere its 1-2 done...

I'd say that's about the average shift point/pattern. But as another member said, my percentages are flipped lol.
