Did you trade in the 2007 GT500? Did you get a good value for it? Its a sweet car. Congrats.

Okay - let's get this thread back on track. No more bickering or we gotta' pull out the rulers. I had to delete some good points because they were in posts that were bickering. Let's keep it clean.

Respectfully...

I figure you will be seeing enough of that angle on the streets/track, so I didn't want to rub it in.

If it will ever stop raining this week where I can get the car detailed correctly, then i will take some higher quality pics from every angle.

I don't mind the Mustang's back end. It's the way the front end droops at the headlights and gives the car a sad expression that bugs me. It looks more frightened than aggressive.

The back end looks ok to me on some Colours...its the black plastic..On some colours it looks really nice. On other its well..... hideous....

A colour match option would be nice. Other than that, the back is nice. Well I am not exactly sold on the tailights, but I can live with them.

Love the new front. I like the "squint" look. And the front dam/splitter even on the GT was done better IMO than the 05~09 models.

Love that colour Garage...Its almost my school colours...the Scarlet and Gray of O H I O S T A T E !!!!

Sweet sweet ride. That would be the only thing that would get me to trade my car in...maybe...

The only story we did not get was the one were someone bought a 30k SS with every option off Ebay....

Anyway for the OP nice garage. The GT500 btw is on the top of the rack. Right were it belongs. No reason to take a car that's he knows is already fast down. He needs that Camaro on ground level because as the thread saids...........a little disappointing.

But heh, at the 3k mark the car MAY perform as advertised......I bet the Viper and the Stang did not need that magical number though..but meh..its GM....high numbers(Bailout ! *cough* weeze*) and GM go well together.
I 100% agree about the magical number stuff. Every single car forum I go to swears that the car is suddenly much more powerful after X amount of miles. I think the car might loosen up a bit but I don't think you get a noticeable increase in power (maybe I'm wrong?).

As for the top portion, I never said it's impossible to pay over $34k for a Camaro. Not once. I said that is the base price and you need to stop acting like it's not. You'd sure be annoyed if I ran around saying that the GT500 is $50k. You sure as hell can pay over $34k for a Camaro, just like you can pay over $46k for a GT500!

I don't know why you feel such disdain for the Camaro (yet post on a Camaro forum). Your performance comment was a bit amusing though. It sure sounds like you feel threatened for some reason. I have no idea why as you're running a supercharger and obviously pull better numbers.

EDIT: The 2010 back-end is not hideous, in my opinion. I see tons of 'em out on the road and the back-end looks completely fine to me. Pictures make it look worse then it is.

The rear of the '10 looks ok with the less retro look of the 2010 model, but would be somewhat out of place on the 2009 model. Btw, I don't recall the rear of the Camaro was a big hit once revealed, since someone foolishly opened that line of questioning.......

Yea I remember people not caring for the tailights on the camaro either, but the new mustang brought that to a whole new lvl. Garage if your right I think my drive home would degrade a bit after seeing this work of art along the way.

Ok Death I am not going to derail this thread again but I will answer you.

Black GT made a comment about pricing along the lines that the forums is the only place you will fine a cheap(34k-) Camaro. I then made my comment as a JOKE because I was in a thread were plenty of owners were talking about that exact same thing...finding it for MSRP or lower. As for that, I am not alone when I say the Camaro is SOME AREAS are still over 40k. The OP paid 40k+ for his. I have talked to plenty of people that have paid this price as well.

It truly depends on where your at in the US. Sure some will do drop ships and go out of their way to get one cheaply, while others will not do all of those things and would rather deal with the local dealer. I never said as well you cannot get the car for that price. Its on the dam web site as that price. But once again IN MY AREA the car is still 5k~10k over. Its like that for some Mustangs as well.....its just one of the things you have to deal with when you live in a city where Opra lives literally on a Island in the middle of the causeway...

As far as feeling disdain towards Camaro owners..LOL Thats in your head man. The guy who taught me how to work on my Mustang ran one of the fastest Camaro's (on the streets) for years...yeah he had a fast mustang too...Another good bud I known for years runs a Ultra Z(?) Camaro that does high 10's on the track, and is a daily driver. I am helping him look for a new Camaro. As a matter of fact, Our shop currently has 4 GT's 5 Camaro's (2 5th Gens) and 2 GT500's. Plus we have Civics running in the 12's for the import crowd.

It seems to me that people get to wound up in defending their brand. We crack on each other daily at the shop. Its fun ! But man here, on this site, if you say one little thing that's not in line with what others think here....BAM!!!!! FULL ATTACK!!!! GET HIM!!!! BUUUURRRRN HIM!!!! Brah's calm down a bit. People here will call Mustangs "Rustangs" "5.0 Slow" yada yada yada. If someone cracks on my car I am going to crack back simple. Its all in the fun. Some of you seem to want to take it personal though, and that is why I am saying to just relax. Heck I help changed a exhaust last night.....

As for the Wolf ? Yeah I am not threatened at all...I run high 11's with Tires, and low~mid 12's without. Also its not like I run everyday. Its just for fun for me.

In the end, I keep saying I like all cars......So if I crack on a Maro when someone cracks on a stang....Heh its just a defensive mech built in I mean I deal with you bowtie guys everyday

If we dish it out, we gotta' be able to take it too. Like you said though - sometimes it gets personal. When it goes that far, it needs to stop.

I like finding Mustang-guys in the community. Gotta' keep the enemies close
