ordered 11-17-2008, changed order 12-31-2008, R6P, 147th ABM built, built May31, 2009, last day of GM before bankruptcy, arrived Dealership June 5, 2009, #13,345.
And Delivered with 87 Octane in tank, leading to a Tune at one month and resurrection by fuse pull months later.

Awesome thread! Great to see all the long time owners. It must have been drop dead exciting when the first of the Gen5's started showing up. Cool storys all.

Hey - we are close. I have a Red Jewel Tintcoat VIN#13269, also built last day prior to GM bankruptcy. It was ordered 11/02/2008 and is a R6P machine. I am lucky enough to have received the Ed Pepper serialized letter with Sung Yup Lee drawing (number 63) and the Lytho Plate (number 162 of 200). We have 20735 miles on it as of this writing and plan on putting on about 6000 miles with a trip to the Grand Canyon May next year. Never sees a winter and is in a garage with a dehumidifier when not being driven during the summer. I remember the days when I could go nowhere without people running up to see the car!

Unless you were there the Summer of '09 you can't imagine what it was like.
I was drawing crowds wherever I went. Even at Mark's Cruise Night here in
Ct which draws 6-800 cars a week, there were dozens around my 5th Gen SS.
