scoshe kit ISSUE

i recently had a thread up asking about how my in dash navi failed... after speaking to a few people they told me scosche has a big issue and as a result it barely lasts on the gen 5 camaro's.
i had mine for literally a day, and it burned out on me, and had me going crazy believing my in dash set-up was ruined. as of right now i am running with no radio because i ordered a brand new scosche kit BEFORE knowing about this issue...
has anyone experienced this big downfall on these kits and if so... does the 1 year manufacture warranty cover this? if it doesn't, i am returning it and going with a metra kit instead..

Really sorry to hear that you received a lemon kit. Honestly, both kits have their own issues and both kits have many customers who are happy. You might decide to go Metra and get one with buttons that stick, poor paint, etc...I say stick with the one you wanted most (assuming tech support is up for the challenge) and work through the issues. You won't regret it once you're up and running

Where did you order yours from? I just installed one about 2 weeks ago in my SS. Have some ups and downs but it definitely works for the most part.

Some people seem to have more problems than others. The only problem with mine is the Keyless Entry Key FOB only works about 10-15 feet away now. Very annoying, but i much prefer to keep my aftermarket radio.

I personally think the Scosche is still better than the Metra

i mean, maybe i just had bad luck since i purchesed mine second hand. either way a new one comes with harnesses... so i should be ok. so far im not happy with the product itself. they had plenty of time to update the issues going on with it, so i thought metra was better on that aspect.

I emailed Scosche about the issues with mine and they did say they were aware of the problems, but unable to duplicate them to fix them.

Not a lot of help there. But the kit does work for the most part, i would try to get a replacement since yours crapped out completely.

Good luck!
