Anyway here's the formula I use when I'm not drunk. .7854 x ((d)^2) x stroke let's you use diameter instead of radius.
Haha. I had to make myself put the phone down last night. I was getting to that point too.

I do. I have both ported. Can't speak for gains from the TB as I didnt do any dyno runs it was just a supporting mod for me, but the manifold itself netted 12 rwhp for me. That was with relearn period and retune. Within hours of each other @ night, weather was the same.

Noob question here!

Looking at long tubes for the future, I see options for no cats and high flows. Now for the questions:

What exactly am I looking at on both?
Will there be a difference in sound/tone/volume?
What exactly is the smell I'm reading about with cat-less and is it bad?
With a Texas inspection, I'm pretty sure cat-less won't pass. So I'm assuming the extra money for for high flows would be worth it in the end?

All this stuff confuses me.

-Catless will be slightly louder and raspier

It smells like a racecar. It's only noticeable if you're sitting for awhile and the air isn't on recycle. Doesn't bother me.

As long as you don't have a CEL you will pass. If you get TSP headers the extensions even look like cats for the visual inspection. Just make sure that CEL is tuned out.

All this stuff confuses me.
Answers in red. IMO skip the cats and spend the money on something else.

So something like TSP long tubes with catless connection and a tune?

That's exactly what I was looking at. Haha

Yep! I'd recommend Matt@FSP for the tune.

That'll work. There are many very good LT's on the market. TSP's are certainly a good budget header.

Thanks! I may possibly be ignoring my warranty and starting to mod sooner than I thought, so I'm getting a head start and figuring stuff out. Time will tell though!

Also, with cat-less headers it will require a tune, right?

You get better results with a tune whether you have cats or not. You're tuning the added airflow and turning the rear O2 sensors off. Having cats has no affect on that.

Hey guys, so I bought a set of aeromotive fuel rails from a member here and it came with fittings already installed on it. I'm not sure what -AN size the fittings are and I'm trying to order some fittings for the hose. I know the inside diameter of hole on the fitting is 5/16" and the thread diameter is between 1/2" and 9/16". If anyone has access to measure a -6 and a -8 fitting so that I can pinpoint exactly which one I have I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, my car is currently torn apart and just to be sure I order hose in the right length, I would like to also ask if someone who has aftermarket fuel rails would please measure from the stock fuel supply location to either the front or back of their rails.

Both of these two things would help me out tremendously! And I would owe whoever gets me these things a beer at the Fest. Thanks!

go to a speed shop in Memphis and check size...if no one comes back here. Only one I could measure is -4.

The only one I know of that is closeby is godman hi performance. I just can't get off work during their business hours is the problem, so I would have to tell them what I need over the phone and go pick it up on a lunch break. Figured it might be easiest if I already knew what I want so they can build the lines.
