Though this is an unfortunate accident, I don't think anyone meant to be mean.
with that said Hope everyone is OK and you get that back on the road better than before.

So let me get this right...
A small business that sells to the Camaro community creates a MEME of a crashed Camaro.

Really does this make good business sense. To make fun of possible client / member of this forum that might purchase from them or better yet recommend them.

What company would put their name on something like this.
Did this go through a publicist??? Does the CEO know of this post??

If someone had died from this how funny would it of been.

Really disgusting that PFADT would post this.

All those that made this a joke, how about if that were your Camaro??
How about if a Family member was injured??

Utterly the lowest post I have seen on Camaro 5 and its by what I thought was a decent Company.

To the Camaro owner, I am glad you're ok. I really feel your pain as far as owning your Camaro goes.
I really hope that everything works out.

I also hope PFADT gives you a personal apology.

Yea great perspective... Perspective is this post the stupid picture with the stupid caption.

Another stupid post.. Don't raise your hand. He didn't raise his hand until he saw the half ass comments that were posted here.

Really you mean its ok to post MEME of smashed up Camaros. A very stupid business model if you ask me.

What were the odds? important thing is the owner and his wife are in good health. But im pretty sure if the owner saw this picture of another car that he didn't know about, he would have laughed about it. Unfortunately, it was his. Hopefully everything turns out for the best.

In my opinion, to the owner, if the car is fixable, take this as an excuse to mod your car even further, maybe some custom fenders, mirrors with signal lights, etc...
This is about as absurd a post, its ok because they didn't know really.

I am sure an Administrator found it humorous.

Calm down. Nobody meant any harm by their posts, and nobody was making fun of the driver or the owner of the camaro. It wasn't specifically aimed towards anyone, but instead the circumstances that the car was put in. Don't try to throw everything back on the OP. Everyone in the car was okay, and we have established that. Thank goodness that nobody was hurt, and it's only a material item. Life is too short to take everything so seriously. Of course it's not funny that the driver was in an accident. Nobody here by ANY means stated that they were glad that this camaro was wrecked and that the driver was involved in an accident. After all, it's just a picture and nobody knew the driver personally. There are many memes of wrecked cars, and nobody says anything about those. This just got way too out of hand and everyone took it a little too much to heart. Kind of like the "what's up with all the v6 wrecks lately?" Or whatever thread... No harm was meant by that thread but everyone has their own perspective and see things the way they want to see them. Some see this is a personal attack, and others don't. But for those who do, I speak for everyone here... Nobody meant any personal ridicule. I complemented the cleanliness of his car because... Well look at that hood!!! It's a freaking mirror! That was a serious comment. So before pointing fingers, look at it from other peoples perspective. And to the driver of the camaro, I'm glad you and your wife are well. If you're camaro is considered total and you decide to get another one, make sure you keep it clean just like the one in the picture! I'm legit impressed

What about feelings, people? Soft, tender feelings of 2014, where every sports team name is offensive to SOMEBODY, every Superbowl commercial makes SOMEBODY mad, any joke made by a celebrity or a politician is guaranteed to raise hackles and demands for banishment of said joke- teller from decent society, where the rest of us are drippy- sweet nice and gooey warm with gentleness?

Be careful out there... remember that basically, everything is offensive to somebody!

Reminds me of a story: My best friend and I (still in our teens) are out in a snow storm at night in his Chevy Beretta GT. He decides to do a little downhill hooning using the emergency brake but when he releases the brake, the car continues its sideways slide. The hill was huge (long, not steep) and we were doing about 25 or 30mph and it wasn't scary for either of us. We slid ALMOST straight down the street and did so for a solid 8 to 10 blocks, but he had clearly lost all control and we were ever so gently sliding towards the other side of the street (oncoming side, but there was no one else on the road due to the weather).

At the bottom of the hill, at a street corner, there was a mound of snow from recent plowing activity and behind the mound was a parked car of unknown origin. The front-half of the Beretta hits the wedge-shaped snow mound sideways, goes up the snow mound, up the hood of the parked car, up the A-pillar, and the Beretta finally comes to a rest with the front wheels on top of the car's roof and the back wheels/bumper still on the street. Because of the amount of snow, there was little to no sound and little to no jarring - it was the softest crash in recorded history.

My best friend jumps out of the car, and starts frantically shoveling the snow out from under his car with his hands. Keep in mind that we pushed a ton of snow down the hill with us and pushed over this semi-giant mound of snow, which is now all under his car which, let me remind you, is actually on TOP of the parked car. I get out, step back, and gently observe the fruitlessness that is my friend's endeavor. When he notices that I'm not helping, he yells at me to help out before someone sees us. It took everything I had to stop from laughing. As I re-told this story countless times to our other friends and acquaintances, we all laughed. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn't. Years later, after college and life had separated us, we got together for a lunch and I told the story one last time for my wife and his fiance. He laughed his ass off.

OP. I'm sorry about your car. It sucks right now, but you're insured, and its a car, a replaceable item. I'm sorry that you had to listen to people make light of a situation you find very dark. One day, hopefully soon, you too might see some comedy in it and if you do, it will be a good thing. It would appear the car is not totaled, and with any luck, it will only take a little bodywork to get you back burning rubber in the very near future.
A friend of mine was driving her new Mustang (yes, I will confess: I have friends who drive Mustangs) in the snow, when she wiped out, rolled it, and ended up upside- down in a snow- covered pasture. The snow was deep and soft... the only damage to the car, once it was righted and fluids were replaced, was a scratch across the top of her roof, where the barbed wire fence under the snow had left its mark as she slid across it.

1. I get it, dont give blame where blame is due.

2. Yes I see your point, that alone would make it ok.

3. Oh ok now you speak for everyone, good to know.

Such a nice back handed comment.

Wow, come back and people not only condone the pic but are defending it with "it's just a car"?

Why even garage the cars or wax and detail or do all these fun things outlined in other threads regarding the care for your Camaro, it's just a car right? Weird how that works. Don't generalize someone's loss like you got an authority on his value in it. He knows it's a car.

The pic was in poor taste but as far as we know it was an accident. What really probably set the car owner off and various others is instead of being apologized to for Having a thread started about a meme regarding a picture of which he had no idea was created and didn't want to publicize people patronize him and then condone it because some of you have dealt with accidents before/figured it was a good laugh?

Not only that, but someone mentioned not knowing it was a member, because car accidents are knee slappers as long as you don't know them right?

Can someone take this meme down ffs. That would be a good start.
