My wife wanted a yellow one in the worst way. I have been driving an '02 Toyota Solara for the last 7 months since my Boxster lost a second engine. She had recently come to the conclusion that she cannot have a Camaro because they are impractical when she brings to dogs along. I was hating driving the Toyota. It was a PoS. It handled so poorly that it was scary to drive. So a few weeks ago, she was bringing out older dog home from agility, hit a snow drift and rolled the Toyota. It was totaled. Insurance was very generous with the settlement (I made a hefty profit on the car), so I decided to get a Camaro. It told her she could drive it (she's allowed to drive the Firehawk, but would never do so because she'd be afraid of scratching it). So it works out perfect.

I now suspect that she totaled the Toyota on purpose. She's sneaky like that.

It turned out to be an awesome time of year to visit Gettysburg. The town was next to deserted, and I had the battlefield all to myself. It was surreal. Got tons of great pics. Here is a sampling. The last picture is of the south wall of Farnsworth House and my room on the top floor. Notice all the bullet holes. That window was directly over my bathroom, and is believed to be the position from which Jennie Wade was shot killed in her kitchen up the street. (Supposedly the only civilian casualty as I've been told.)

So I managed to purchase a 1/18 scale xe toys 2011 RS Camaro (If it only had a sunroof it would match mine ) via eBay.

I'm pretty sure this is the smaller of the RC's

Now the waiting game.

Just get a small piece of gloss black vinyl and cut it out and apply it to the roof . Now you have a sunroof ..

I used a Black Sharpie to Black out my Bow Ties and side gills then used Black Pin stipe for the black Rocker Panels .

Bad azz looking RC car ..

Did GM make a Synergy Green floormat for the Camaro? I hate mine with the red embroidery. I know Lloyds mats makes custom mats with green stitching, but I'm looking for something that looks OEM (with the plastic pads in the middle).

Anybody see anything like that?

No OEM mats with Synergy green , But if you can get the OEM mats with the rubber center in the middle , with the Camaro and stitching in white / silver and hand dye it . With Green fabric markers. This is what I did . It came out really good and is so easy my 9 year old daughter did the back mats while I was doing the front ones .. You want to get the bright green markers pens , don't get anything dark green . I got my pens at Hobby lobby . I just use them for shows now . I just have oem black for travel and when I get to a show swap them out easier than cleaning them ..LOL

These are the mats I'm talking about , stock photo ,

I was able to snag the smaller (amazon) of the two. Still hoping to find the larger online at some point.

Pretty much what I have to do is check eBay every now and then in hopes one pops up.

1:10 scale is the size I believe.
