My god this generation of car owners sure is entertaining lol. I would imagine he would have a heart attack if it looks like my wife's daily driver charger R/T. It sees everything salt, rain just about every nasty thing you can throw at it. Rain drops are the least of my worries.

I guess you cant' win sometimes. Always heard to head to the Southwest to get away from car that have been covered in salt or sat in the humidity for years. Oh well.

I believe the majority of Camaro5 would vote to take my car away from me at the moment. It's brown, well tinted brown. And since it rained here a very little on Friday it's spotted. The worst part is that at a car meet this morning I had more than one person ask me if my wheels were plastidipped because there was so much brake dust on them that's what it looked like. I finally scraped a clean spot off of each wheel with my shoe so they could tell.

It's a DD, I've traveled in it, I prefer it clean, but it gets dirty sometimes. Nothing I can do about that.

AZ rain just passed and I took my car out on purpose. Is it really that bad for the paint? Washing the car tomorrow.

Have long have you lived here? You bought a black car that stays outside in AZ and your worried about water spots? that is the least of your worries.. Save the showroom black car image in your head from when you bought it, cause it will never look that way again if it lives outside. The reality is in AZ any car that is spotless will have a layer of visible dust on it within two hours if left outside. It will be a constant daily issue with a black car. Starting from May for the next five months it will only get worse with no rain to clean out the valley and summer monsoons filled with dust. Not trying to be the bubble burster but with a black car why would you ever pick black knowing you will never get it to look glass black again after being exposed to AZ elements everyday?

I like to drive in the rain. I drove my ZL1 from Las Vegas to Los Angeles today and it pounded hard rain the entire 4 hours. I'll get it detailed next week. No big deal.

Just make sure you wash the car every single day before putting the cover over it as it will have daily dust and you will scratch the hell outta your paint on a dusty car. that or just settle for black car with a brown dusting on it daily.
Sorry the forum has come to an enlightenment on having a black car ungaraged in Arizona but its the truth and maybe you can save a scratch or two if your prepared.

Black is the best color on a Camaro. All other colors are butt ugly on a Camaro.
