However if you got the higher resolution screen you do need to go into the factory settings and change to the HD option. If you got the normal resolution then you don't need to adjust for this.

Since I did the upgrade I have the files saved on a microSD card. I don't know a lot about android but hopefully one day I can come across a android programmer to tweak if needed. Maybe even a Bluetooth fix.

OK guys... I was on the HiCESAN website and it says these HU's are for 2011-2013 Camaro's. Are there special mods that need to be made for my 2010 SS2 with the BA stereo system or is it a "no go"???

no ur good to go with a few minor fitment issues u can correct.

So it's fitment that is the issue and not a software integration thing?

correct....bnorman put up a lot of good info on the actual system.

fitment isnt terrible, but if u want it sit absolutely flush u will have to modify it a bit.

Hey bnorman......I was reading the spec's on the HiCESAN website and ran across this capability line:
"Skype With Live Video Conferences, Sound Via Microphone And Typing" and "GOOGLE MAP NAVIGATIONS WITH SATELLITE VIEW AND VOICE COMMAND"
Would that not suggest that their is actually a microphone in the HU?

I would assume that as well, but if you look at the camera they provide it is similar to a logitech camera. Most USB camera's you can pick up have a built in microphone, therefore it allows for audio and video on Skype. Can't seem to find the email from Lim, but he does reference that the Unit relies on the phone for speaker in Phone/BT mode.

You might run into an issue with bluetooth, as the 2010's use the OnStar box for Bluetooth

If it has VC then it should have a mic?!?!?

Mhm, they moved it from the Onstar box to being built-in with the headunit.

No, if you shave the posts you have to do the same to the bracket because the bracket moves deeper (closer to the PCB and may cause some short).
