how does it ride? I will definitely be lowering my convertible when I get it. Been reading on the forum to not waste money on springs and get coil overs. I have Hotchkiss on my 08 Tahoe (3/5)drop and you wouldn't know it was lowered except for the way it looks.

Absolut,
Looks good!!! Now is it just me or does the car have a stink bug look? Does your car sit flush/level all the way around?

Thanks,
Tony

Most of the aftermarket kits set the Gen5 chassis up the same way. Slightly raised in the rear. I know some companies have the option of ordering a different rear spring to give the car a "level' look when not being driven. I was going to when I ordered my Pedders kit, but ended up not "leveling" my car. It's not noticeable when you are moving anyway.

There is never any mention of the ride height bar for the mag ride system.

There is no issue with the ride height bar for the mag ride with any of the lowering spring kits. The bar is self-adjusting to the new ride height due to its design.

And just for the heck of it, here's a pic of mine dropped on Pedders springs.

Lowering springs, which ones???

Drop was 1-3/8" in the rear and 3/4" in front. Mine no longer has any rake back to front. All of my fender lips are at 28".

As far as ride, you definitely feel more of the road, but it's not bad. My wife only complained right after I had it lowered but before I had the bushings clocked and aligned. It was really bouncy on some roads at that point. Once I had the adjustments done it went back to riding pretty much like stock and it dropped another 1/2" all the way around.

Well I got my new BMR 1" Drop springs put on this weekend & I couldn't be more happy with the results! Overall the drop was quite minimal, maybe 3/4" actual but in my opinion the ride quality is better than stock! For those of you that are on the edge about getting these installed I would definitely go for a set of these. Here is a pic, I plan to put about 200 miles on the car then take it to Texas track works for alignment later this week! Will have some more pics soon!

hello

can you please measure the distance from ground to the middle of the fender, or from an other point?
so i'm really intressed to know how is the dirrefence to mine with H&R Springs. If i know that, maybe i can order better springs.

Thank You.

Justice Pete can you verify the amount of drop the ZL1 can take before the geometry is screwed up? Looked under my car and it does not look like much drop is available before the geometry will be compromised.
