Now that's funny. And I thought that I was the only one that saw that. Haha. But to the OP, the banks will only loan what market value is and that's what sucks about moding. I did the same thing when I sold my 2010 SS , started out high and eventually sold it at market value. Glws.

Bad scenario but maybe you will be the exception to the rule.
Agree, I had a similar experience as you.

Sorry to sound like Donny downer, just giving you my honest opinion. I say get the kid a $5000 car and keep the ZL1.
+1

One can't have the cake and eat it

It has become almost normal in here , for someone to have in big print how many HP one's got way above the OEM , and still say warranty is all good
Really , one mods that engine that much ,and still believes the warranty is still good

Shoot, I paid for all my cars on my own. Make the kid get a job and earn it that way he appreciates it more.

ALL IT TOOK WAS 2 PEOPLE BOTH WANTING IT ON THE SAME DAY....SO TO THOSE THAT SAID IT WOULD NOT SELL FOR OVER 50K YOUR DEAD WRONG,AND TO THOSE THAT SAID WHO WOULD EVER WHAT A ZL1 VERT with 750hp your a dumb as$&$, The buyer was local !!!! & my car was mint !!

I kept every stock part,he is local, and I have a agreement that he will resell it to me first if one of my kids can afford to help pay for it when they graduate from college later down the road...
