I only had 7 full paint corrections with customers so far.(admittedly alabama is not what you would call "prime territory" for a detailing business lol). But it pays my car payment/gas/insurance and I get to work on beautiful cars for a job! What could be better than that!

forgot to mention in my previous post that I have a Griots 6 inch(I think) DA. My Favorite pad is the orange foam, though I have grey, white, blue, and so on. also have the three inch adapter from adams as well as a few corresponding foam pads. have an ancient Caftsman variable drill that looks like it was made in the 50's LOL, damn thing won't die. got some foam red cones on sticks that I use to polish the wheels also.

Nice Job!! That's what I want mine to look like!!
Hopefully not too far off topic but I'm looking for a Porter Cable random orbital polisher locally and found one over at Lowes but it's not either model # 7424 or 7336, it is model #7346. I can't seem to find a difference other that the disc/counter wieght sizes are 5.5. I'm impatient and want to take one home this weekend so I can polish a few minor scratches. Is there really that much of a difference between the recommended 7424/7336 and the 7346 that Lowes carries? Paul |

I have honestly never looked up the 7346, but with my Google fu I see that it is a random orbital. This mean it will move extremely fast in an orbital pattern, but will not spin( or atleast the motor will not cause it to spin). So yes , to answer your question you could. Now, I have no idea what the backing plate on that thing looks like. The backing plate is a crucial part of the system... So you need to see if the backing plate is ok or if you need to order one off of a vendor here that's for car polishing.. If the backing plate is rock hard be prepared to really cause haze in the paint, and if it's too soft you'll be there for days(especially with a random orbital). Just FYI a random orbital is fine for car polishing, and forgiving for beginners with the right pads, polishes, backing plates. With that said, a random orbital will take an extremely long time(compaired to how fast other machines would be) to correct the paint. So just be prepared to be patient and go over the area more than once with the same compound and pad if you have to! Goodluck.

Do you like your griots? Any issues with durability? Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.

Very nice detail job on your black paint !
SSTG is pretty darn good. I had him Opti-coat my car a month ago roughly.
