I am trying to trade mine in for personal reasons.

I understand these cars worth more to us than dealerships, but thought you guys could understand my feelings about this.

I was just politely told that no one would like that color and the longer it sits on the lot the less value it has.

Really wish I could find someone to buy it and care of it the way it should be cared for instead of dealing with these guys...

Goo, post that dealership! They are morons and don't deserve any business. We know too many people that have searched high and low looking for a SGM. (I'm going to miss him though, but you know we understand! I'm looking forward to that cook out you promised. Yep, going to hold you to it!)

I'd love to have an SGM SS myself ... and my dealer here has been trying to talk me into trading in my 2LT. Because he knows this car would be a quick sell.

As for plasti-dip ... fun stuff! I recently did my bowties, fender logos and taillight bezels.

The dealer that sold me mine had it for quite a while. They had it listed pretty high, but came down really quickly because they couldn't get rid of it.

The color is very polarizing. People either love it, or they hate it. So as a dealer, you have to find somebody who is looking for a Camaro of that year, with those options and mileage, who happens to love SGM. It's not easy. You'd be better off selling it yourself. Advertise it nationally (cars.com, autotrader, etc.).

In the mid west SGM is rare. List on cars.com and sell it quickly. You may be the only green out there. I like driving unique colors. Others do too.

That pretty much sums it up. Obviously know nothing about the business they are in.
I know why you are needing to trade it in, and I know if you had your way you would rather not be. Wish I was in a position to help. Heck, I'd buy it if I could!

On another note. My wife has to start wearing a hard hat at her job on Monday. There's no good reason for it, somebody just wanted to make another rule.
So I painted up this one today for her. Don't know if I will get it in clear in time though...

Dealers can afford to sit on these priced high because they know someone who wants this color will pay for it.

Took me awhile to get mine at a decent price.
